We love the Party Party Time games, so when they released a Snow Party we had to try it out. The games are fun, what little of them there were. Party Party Time games are known for being fun collection of mini games. Great for a party or playing games with friends.

Slide! Throw! Snow Party Time is the newest edition to a, so far, great series of party games. I was a bit surprised there were only 10 minigames. Most editions in the series have dozens of games. The simplicity of the games is usually made up for by the sheer volume of games included.

Snow Party is a bit different from their usual formula. There were only 10 minigames total, all with a winter or snow theme. The minigames themselves would be at home in any of the Party Party Time editions. The games themselves were great but we had come to expect a larger volume of games included.

It’s hard to be disappointed considering the low price. If you like Party Party Time and winter games then it’s definitely worth checking out.

Why Snow Party Time?

Anyone who likes party games is going to enjoy Snow Party Time. There’s snowball fights, snowboarding, hockey, and treasure hunt games to name a few. If you enjoy winter themed games then Snow Party is one you should try.

This is an ideal game for anyone who enjoys party games. While you can play solo vs computers, this game is great with 2 or more players. Party Party Time games usually creates a separate class of games as co-op. There’s just 10 games in this version, none were distinctly co-op games.

If you only want co-op games, then Snow Party might not appeal to you. You can choose to help each other in some games if you want, but at the end of the day individual scores determine the winner.

How We tested Snow Party.

The basic premise is simple and anyone can be good at this game. Our group thoroughly enjoyed playing this game.

We tested this game with 4 and 5 players. We played with a standard Nintendo Switch with a mix of joycons and pro controllers on a 52 inch TV. Having a turbo button definitely gives players an advantage in certain games. For some games, dividing the screen 6 times does make each space fairly small but playable.

Comparable Games

Of course Snow Party is like ever other game in the Party Party Time series. Which is also similar to all the Mario Party games, such as Superstars, Jamboree, and all the numbered Mario Party games.

There are more than a few mini games that are identical among all these party games. In some cases, the Mario Party games are better, but in others the Party Party Time games are better. It’s a preference. Mario party has a lot of cut scenes, animations, and flash. While the Party Party Time games are straightforward. Sometimes, less is more.

There are also several unique mini games when comparing the games too. There’s usually a game for everyone. As far as price, the Mario games are extremely expensive for what they are. Whereas the Party Party Time games are affordable. Slide! Throw! Snow Party is reasonable priced for what it is.

Pros and Cons

My only criticism is the lack of co-op games. Or games overall, for that matter. Party Party Time games are known to come with 20 mini games and 10 co-op games. So to get only 10 snow themed mini games total is a slight let down.

Hockey was great. The snowball fight with each other was fun. The snowball fight with the snowmen was also fun. Downhill snowboarding was great. The penguin race was fun. Building a huge snowball was fun. Sledge hammers on ice was fun. Dodging falling icicles was great. Playing tag on ice was fun. Searching for hidden treasure in the snow was okay.

Overall, our Slide! Throw! Snow Party game review gives it 7 out of 10 stars. We had a great time playing this game. All but one game was a lot of fun, we just wish there were more games!

We’re a bit biased since we love the Party Party Time games, but Snow Party Time is a welcome addition to our gaming library. No regrets.

Another recent addition to the Party Party Time games is Summer Party Time! It’s another winner as far as I’m concerned. We’re big fans of the Party Party Time games for the Switch ever since they came out.

So of course we couldn’t resist getting Summer Party Time. For the price, these are great games and this one is no exception. It’s another great multiplayer party game for the Nintendo Switch. Like the others it supports up to 6 local players. The graphics, sounds, and games are no different than the rest of the Party Party Time games.

This one doesn’t have quite as many games as the others, but I’m sure an expansion pack won’t be long. Overall, the mini games included are just as fun as the other Party Party Time mini games. Apart from some character designs I’m not sure what qualifies this game as “summer”. But I haven’t been disappointed by the games or price so I don’t care if the games are summer themed or not.

Why Summer Party Time ?

Because you have a hankering for party games. Summer Party Time has enough mini games to satisfy anyone who enjoys party games. This version has great computer players in case you’re short some players.

If you’re just looking for some fun mini games, then Summer Party Time is a great option. There isn’t any narrative, epic boss fights, or epilogue involved. Which is fine if all you’re looking for is some quick gaming action.

Summer Party Time is a party game. It’s meant to be a quick and easy game to play with friends or family. If you’re looking for uncomplicated game play, quick rounds, and laughs then this game is great for that.

How We Tested Summer Party Time

We tested this game with 1 player, 2 players, 3 players, 4 players, 5 players, and 6 players. It was best with 4 players and no computer players. Adding computer players actually lowered our chances of Success!

When we played with 5 or 6 players it was a lot to keep track of on the screen. But there was some improvement over previous versions. Keeping all the players on one large screen helps tremendiously.

When we played with 1 player, many games were fine. There were a lot of co-op games the computer players were no help at all. I had no problem beating the computer players on player vs player games.

Comparable Games

Summer Party Time is most similar to Party Party Time 1, 2, and 3 plus their expansion packs. It’s also similar to the Mario Party games such as Super Mario Party, Mario Party Superstars, and Mario Party Jamboree.

Summer Party Time doesn’t have all the glamour and cutscenes as the Mario Party games. But it’s a fraction of the price too. There are many similar games found in both the Mario Party games and Summer Party Time.

Pros and Cons

The biggest pro is the price. Summery Party Time, as well as the rest of the Party Party Time games, are inexpensive. Their cost is so low it’s hard to pass up. It offers a lot of bang for the buck.

Another plus is the good AI. The computer players aren’t totally awful. I’m not sure if it’s because of the simplicity of the games. But both the enemy and ally players are fairly good.

The only con is a few of the games are klinkers. The climbing game where everyone is attached with a rope is impossible. We’ve only ever seen the finish line a few times.

Some games are really easy while others are extremely hard to successfully finish. It’s a bit inconsistent on that score. Most of the games are still fun, it just seems they could have tested it a bit more.

Review Summary

Our Summer Party Time review gives it 7 out of 10 stars. The freshness of all the mini games after so many versions is impressive. Obviously there are a lot of copycat games from the Mario Party games. But they are still coming up with fun new games after all these variants.

For the price you can’t go wrong. It’s definitely a few bucks worth of fun. I certainly recommend Summer Party Time to any party game session with friends or family.

Can you believe Party Party Time 3 just dropped? We’re big fans of the Party Party Time games so of course we had to try it out. We weren’t disappointed. For the third game it’s actually still fresh. There’s many new games as well as a couple old ones.

Overall, it’s a solid addition to the other two games and their expansion packs. For a cheap game it does a good job of providing a lot of entertainment. It has both co-op games and head to head competition for up to 6 people.

As expected, these are games anyone can sit down and play. They couple basic controls with instinctive mini games. Which turns into simple fun for anyone.

Party Party Time 3 includes a few mini games that seem familiar to anyone who has played any Mario Party games. Really, just about any mini-game that exists can be found in one of the Party Party Time games and their expansion packs.

They mix them up enough to keep them interesting. Also , many new games are really fun to play. I can say there were very few klinkers.

As always, the techno music catchy. The player animations are interesting. From what I saw, the graphics are simple but their dance moves are hypnotizing. It’s a very colorful game too.

Party Party Time 3 is as budget friendly as the others in the series. So far there’s just the base game which includes 30 games. I’m sure they will come out with a few expansion packs in the future.

Why Party Party Time 3?

Party Party Time 3 is great for anyone having a bunch of friends over for a good time. If you’re looking for a collection of minigames to play with friends, then this is a good option. We didn’t have to waste any time learning the controls. There’s basically jump, attack, or some action.

if you’re looking for simple games that are fun, then Party Party Time 3 is a good option. The games are clear and obvious for the most part. There are a few exceptions, but the controls are always shown in the top corner.

If you like puzzle, carnival, combat, shooting, racing, sport, card, and survive games then Party Party 3 is an ideal game to try.

How We Tested Party Party Time 3

We tested this game with 1 player, 2 players, 3 players, 4 players, 5 players, and 6 players. It was best with 4 players and no computer players. Adding computer players actually lowered our chances of Success!

When we played with 5 or 6 players it was a lot to keep track of on the screen. But there was some improvement over previous versions. Keeping all the players on one large screen helps tremendiously.

When we played with 1 player, many games were fine. There were a lot of co-op games the computer players were no help at all. I had no problem beating the computer players on player vs player games.

Comparable Games

Similar games include the Mario Party games, Carnival Games, or Cake Bash. Mario Party recently added a new version and some of the games make an appearance in Party Party Time 3. While not as elaborate as the Mario Party games, Party Party Time 3 offers some simple fun without all the cut scenes.

Party Party Time 3 is on par with Carnival Games. Honestly, I liked Party Party Time 3 much better than Carnival Games. The Party Party Time 3 games are more diverse and just better in general. After a while Carnival Games comes down to two or three types of games with different skins. Not so with Party Party Time 3.

Party Party Time 3’s appearance and sounds also reminds me of Tsum Tsum Festival. However, Party Party Time 3 has a broader range of games. The co-op games in Party Party Time 3 are also more forgiving than the ones in Tsum Tsum Festival.

Overall, I liked Party Party Time 3 better than Tsum Tsum Festival. Curling could be fun if you didn’t waste so much time watching animations. Don’t even get me started about how awful it is unlocking the same characters over and over in Tsum Tsum Festival.

Party Party Time 3 allows you to unlock a few characters as well as some customization. It cuts out any frills, cut scenes, or nonsense. Just select your game and off you go.

Pros and Cons

You can’t beat the price. Considering how brutally expensive most Nintendo games are, Party Party Time 3 is a refreshing price point. It’s a good value and many of the mini games are just as the ones in the expensive party games.

A drawback is minigames aren’t something I can play for hours. I would tire of them after 20 to 30 minutes. Switching from game to game keeps the action going for a couple hours. But even after a long session we were ready for something else.

Party Party Time 3 offers many minigames is another advantage. There were enough to keep in the rotation to keep it interesting. I think they also have a better filter for this version. They dropped the math games. We enjoyed every game.

They didn’t do much testing on the co-op games in my opinion. Achieving the success on some games seems impossible. While on others it’s too easy. The games are still fun enough, it’s just frustrating to see that failure screen at the end over and over.

We found there was a game for everyone. Meaning, nobody totally dominated every mini game. There were some games people were naturals at and easily won. Then other games it was a toss up every time. Definitely makes these games worth playing again and again.

Review Summary

Our Party Party Time review gives it 7 out of 10 stars. The freshness of all the mini games in the third version of a game is noteworthy. Many minigame themed games suffer from burn out. Not so with Party Party Time 3, they’re still adding fresh new games.

In fact, I think Party Party Time 3 is an improvement over the 2nd version. We all had our favorites. While Party Party Time 3 hasn’t moved to the top spot in our library, it sure isn’t going to collect much dust either. It’s good filler for those times you’re not sure what game to play and looking for something different.

We recently added Party Party Time 2 to our library of Nintendo Switch games. The first Party Party Time was a hit with us and the second version is too. This game is a collection of minigames for 2 to 6 players.

Not many games offer 6 players on one Switch. To get more than 4 usually requires more than one Switch. There’s limited screen space when playing with 6 players but most games are simple enough this isn’t an issue.

Party Party Time 2 is a budget friendly couch game. There are plenty of minigames for player vs player and co-op action. Like the first version, the graphics are colorful and the music is catchy.

I didn’t notice enough changes to justify a new release. It seems to me this could have been another expansion pack. However, the original game is getting crowded from the expansion packs.

Since the cost is roughly the same as an expansion pack, it’s hard to pass up. Even if a few of the games are recycled from the first version. Overall, Party Party Time 2 is as fun as the first version.

If you tire of all the cut scenes and extra animations found in other party games, then Party Party Time 2 is a great alternative. I don’t mind the slow pacing in other party games occasionally. But there are times I just want to get to the action and start playing. The animations get redundant and boring after several rounds.

This game is a no frills party game. Select a minigame, wait for a brief loading screen, and then you’re off.

These are games anyone can sit down and play. Instinctive mini game coupled with basic controls. It offers simple fun for anyone.

Why Party Party Time 2?

This game is a collection of minigames meant to be played with friends. There aren’t any complicated controls or tactics to learn. If you’re looking for some simple but fun minigames to pass the time with friends, this is a good option.

I found the games are incredibly intuitive. The goals are clear and how to score points is obvious. Even if some games are recycled versions from the first Party Party Time game. They were still fun.

I can’t say if any game particularly stood out as bad or good. They were all okay. Many get their inspiration from Mario Party games. If you like those then Party Party Time 2 is worth checking out.

Anyone who likes puzzle, carnival, combat, shooting, racing, sport, card, and survival games would like Party Party Time 2.

We tested Party Party Time 2 with 1 player, 2 players, 3 players, 4 players, 5 players, and 6 players. In my opinion, this game is best with 4 players and no computer players.

Playing with 5 or 6 players was a bit more confusing in my experience. The smaller screen takes some getting used to. Not many games can boast up to 6 players locally. A larger TV makes a big difference with that many players.

When I played with 1 player, it was fine but not as appealing as with multiple players. A few games were good solo but most lacked the craziness that comes with friends.

Comparable Games

I’d say the most similar games to Party Party Time 2 are Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario Party. Only in terms of minigames since Party Party Time 2 lacks the board game layout.

Our collection of multiplayer games is vast and includes a few other similar games such as Carnival Games, Cake Bash, and the original Party Party Time. I definitely liked Party Party Time 2 more than Carnival Games. Many of the Carnival Games felt redundant compared to Party Party Time 2.

I liked the original Party Party Time better than the second version. But I’d still recommend getting both versions since they are so inexpensive.

Cake Bash is another good party game meant to be played on the couch with friends. My only criticism of Cake Bash is the lack of minigames compared to Party Party Time 2. Cake Bash edges out Party Party Time 2 for quality, but not by much. Both games are great party games.

In appearance, Party Party Time 2 reminds me of Tsum Tsum Festival. Especially in terms of sound and colors. However, Party Party Time 2 isn’t filled with animations, cut scenes, or fancy scoreboards like Tsum Tsum Festival.

Even without all the frills found in bigger titles such as Tsums Tsums or Mario Party, I still immensely enjoyed Party Party Time 2. It’s a goofy game we got a lot of laughs from.

Pros and Cons

The best part about Party Party Time 2 is it’s inexpensive. Like the first version, it’s hard to find fault considering the price point. Our expectation wasn’t very high going into it but this game exceeded our expectations.

A disadvantage is it’s easy to tire of the minigames. However, this is true of any minigame or Party game. While I could spend hours playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I couldn’t say the same about Mario Party Superstars. After playing through each minigame a few times we were ready for something else.

Another benefit is the colors and sounds. The music is catchy without being annoying. The colorful appearance is eye-catching. The silly victory dances or loss animations are well done too.

For an inexpensive game, it doesn’t suck. True, many games are inspired from other minigames but there is a good variety of games here. I’d thought low cost = low quality. However, that isn’t the case with Party Party Time 2 or the original.

They didn’t include as many math or card games as the original. I can’t say I was disappointed. We didn’t care for those. I was disappointed a few games were recycled versions from the original.

Review Summary

My Party Party Time review gives it 6 out of 10 stars. Mainly due to it feels more like an expansion pack rather than a sequel to the original game. The music, layout, and overall feel is extremely similar to the original.

Once I started playing I couldn’t tell any difference between the original or this version. While there are new characters, there aren’t near as many as in the original.

As for the minigames themselves, they were good. Again, I don’t understand how Party Party Time 2 is any different than an expansion pack for the original. However, I did enjoy most of the minigames so I’m not complaining. It just seems odd.

Overall, I’m glad we got Party Party Time 2. It isn’t much different than the original. It isn’t going to take the top spot for our most played games on our Switch. However, it’s good for some occasional laughs with friends that doesn’t cost too much.

We added a Party Party Time review to our 4 player Nintendo Switch games collection. This game is a multiplayer couch game for up to 6 people. It offers a variety of minigames with 13 coop and 25 player vs player games.

These are games anyone can sit down and play. Instinctive mini game coupled with basic controls. It offers simple fun for anyone.

Party Party Time includes common mini games found elsewhere plus a few new ones. They mix up familiar games so they seem fresh. Plus the new ones are actually fun to play. There weren’t many klinkers.

I found the techno music catchy, as well as the player animations. From what I saw, the graphics are simple but their dance moves are hypnotizing. It’s a very colorful game too.

Party Party Time is also budget friendly in my experience. The base game includes many games. I got the expansion packs to add more games, skins, and characters. The expansion pack that adds 8 co-op and 22 player vs player games is worth it in my experience.

Why Party Party Time?

If you’re looking for a collection of minigames to play with friends, then this is a good option. We didn’t have to learn complicated controls or tactics to win. Most games we played had you controlling a character with a jump button and attack/action button.

We found the games are incredibly intuitive. The goals are clear and how to score points is obvious. There are a few exceptions, such as rock, paper, scissors. We thought that game was very confusing at first. But once we understood the game….it still sucked.

There were plenty of winners though. Some we played were improved versions of classics, like block breaker. While others were completely new based on Youtube challenges, such as fill the cup with water.

If you like puzzle, carnival, combat, shooting, racing, sport, card, and survive games then Party Party is an ideal choice.

We tested this game with 1 player, 2 players, 3 players, 4 players, 5 players, and 6 players. It was best with 4 players and no computer players.

When we played with 5 or 6 players it was a bit more confusing. Some of the games we got in each others way more. Other games shrank the screen a bit too much for us to enjoy.

When we played with 1 player, many games were fine. There were a lot of co-op games the computer players were no help at all. I had no problem beating the computer players on player vs player games.

Comparable Games

Of all the multiplayer games in our collection I’d say Party Party Time is most similar to Carnival Games or the Mario Party games. We liked Party Party Time much better than Carnival Games. Party Party Time games were just better and more diverse.

Party Party Time shares a lot of minigames with the Mario Party games: Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars. It isn’t near the level of graphics, animations, and menu screens of the Mario games in my opinion. But it captures the essence of the Mario mini games. Many of the Party Party Time minigames are just as good in my experience.

The Party Party Time appearance and sounds really reminds me of Tsum Tsum Festival. Only, Party Party Time has a much wider variety of games. The co-op games in Party Party Time are much more forgiving than the ones in Tsum Tsum Festival.

Overall, I liked Party Party Time better than Tsum Tsum Festival. Curling could be fun if you didn’t waste so much time watching animations. Don’t even get me started about how awful it is unlocking the same characters over and over in Tsum Tsum Festival.

Party Party Time doesn’t waste your time with a bunch of nonsense. Select your game and off you go. You want more skins? Just get the expansion pack. Done.

I found some of the games from Carnival Games frustrating. While others were redundant. Same game, different appearance. While some games from Party Party Time were redundant, there are so many to choose from it kept our interest.

Of all 68 games (with expansion pack), at least a dozen we considered our favorites. In our experience the majority were above average with the rest being average. There were only 5 or 6 duds.

Considering how many games you get for the price, I’m surprised there weren’t more winners. I was surprised by the amount of new games. Many are based on Youtube challenges or pop culture. Yet, turned out to be descent minigames.

Pros and Cons

The good thing about Party Party Time is it’s inexpensive. The expansion packs are reasonable too.

The drawback is minigames get dull quickly. This is an issue for any minigame really. It’s fun at first but quickly loses it’s appeal. Party Party Time is no different.

I hate to say it but Carnival Games is the worst offender for this. Some were just plain boring and others frustrating. There wasn’t enough variety with Carnival Games. Many of the games were too similar underneath.

That Party Party Time has so many minigames is its only redeeming quality. Sure some were the same basic game with a different appearance. But there is enough variety to obscure it.

If you aren’t jumping or moving out of the way, then you’re probably shooting or attacking something to earn points or time.

A couple of racing games and plenty of shooting games are included too. Fishing and Math games are thrown in as well.

Party Party Time includes sports games such as baseball, basketball, soccer (football to the rest of the world), and boxing. There are puzzle games like Tetris only with a twist. You have to avoid being crushed by the falling pieces and climb to the top.

For minigames the co-op games were good. Not as frustrating as other co-op minigames.

Their choice of player vs player minigames is good too. Simple but fun.

We found there was a game for everyone. Meaning, nobody totally dominated every mini game. There were some games people were naturals at and easily won. Then other games it was a toss up every time.

I can’t say that about every party game I’ve played. Which is why I decided to write a review about such an obscure game.

Review Summary

For our Party Party Time review, we gave it 7 out of 10 stars. Mainly due to the freshness of all the mini games. Most minigame themed games suffer from burn out. Meaning, they either space out gameplay with lots of animations or include tons of games to distract from the simplicity of individual games.

Party Party Time includes a ton of games to hold you interest. Playing the same minigame ovor and over would lead to boredom. But the sheer number of games keeps it from losing interest.

While Party Party Time isn’t going to replace any of our most played games on our Switch anytime soon. It is good filler for those times you’re not sure what game to play and looking for something different.

Party Party Time is a recent addition to our collection of multiplayer Nintendo Switch games. It comes with 38 minigames. Some are winners, some are losers in my opinion. Most of the minigames are above average though.

One sure thing is there are a lot of minigames. There are more player vs player than co-op games. All the games involve jumping, attacking, or perfect timing.

Since there are so many, I didn’t include the expansion pack. Here’s a guide to all the minigames in Party Party Time!

Player vs Player Mini Games

These minigames fall into different categories. Players try to eliminate others, score more points, or accomplish a task quicker than other players.

Battle Games

Bouncing Ball Bazooka: We had a bazooka that shoots balls at each other. The balls bounce off the walls and obstacles. It took 3 hits to eliminate our opponents. Be careful because your balls can hit you too!

Attack Ball: In this game we were inside a protective ball and the goal was to push everyone else off the platform. The button gives you a short dash. The outer rings periodically drop, giving you less and less space.

Bumper Tanks: The goal is to knock everyone else off the platform. Move around to avoid being shot while shooting at everyone else.

Water Shooter: In this game you drench other players with a water blaster. You have a health meter and a water supply meter. Once your health meter is empty you’re eliminated. You can refill your water blaster from any of the 4 pools of water.

Dodgebomb: In this game we ran around obstacles while dodging exploding bombs. We could pick up bombs before they explode and toss them at other players. Or just toss them away from yourself if ya’ll wanna be nice.

Block Changer: The goal is to change as many blocks to your color as possible. All blocks start as white. We ran around changing them while other players did the same. Whoever had the most blocks in their color won.

Perfect Dice: The goal is to keep rolling your dice until it matches the number on the screen. Once it matches stop rolling! You can attack other players to knock their dice off, forcing them to start over. The player that held the matching dice the longest earns the most points.

Water Shooter

Point Based Games

Stack ‘n’ Block: Similar to Pac Man. We ran around collecting blocks of our color. While also attacking other players so they lost blocks.

Mole Hammer: Just your average whack-a-mole game. We got an oversized hammer and ran around hitting any mole that pops up from a hole. We could also hit each other to temporarily stun them.

Slope Jumping: Basic obstacle course. We ran forward while dodging spikes, saws, bars, and balls. Points are earned for dodging obstacles and lost for hitting an obstacle. We could jump and attack plus get a power up for temporary speed boost.

Block Wiper: This game is like Hungry Hungry Hippo. You push as many blocks of your color as you can into your goal. Grad the power-up for a temporary speed boost. Gold blocks are worth more too.

Get Ball: The goal is to push as many balls in your goal as possible. Balls randomly fall in the center. There isn’t any dashing or attacking. A power-up temporarily gives you a speed boost. The gold ball is worth more than the colored ones.

Canon Defense: Basic shooting game. The goal is to shoot as many robots as you can before time runs out. Shooting the people mixed in with the robots looses points.

Skydive Scramble: The goal is to collect as many coins as possible. As you fall you move around to collect coins and attack other players. Large coins are worth more. Purple coins subtract money.

Scroll jump

Survival Games

Block Train: In this game the goal is to stay on the screen. There are several platforms covering the screen. Trains come along and will push you off unless you jump out of the way. Also other players can attack you.

Scroll Jump: In this game the goal is to stay on the screen. You jump from one set of blocks or triangle shape to another as they scroll up or down off screen. If you can’t get to another platform before rising or falling off screen you lose. You can also attack other players if you’re really competitive.

Sucker Punch: The goal is to not fall off the platform. The floor changes color warning you which one of the boxing gloves are going to strike. You can also attack other players to push them off the map.The last player standing wins.

Runaway Balls: The goal is to stay on the platform while a ball shoots out from different pipes and bounces around. You have to run and jump out of its way. Also, you can attack other players to help them off the platform.

Survival Reversi: This is Reversi aka Othello. It’s played on a grid of spaces. You start in the middle and choose to take one of the adjoining spaces. As we took a new space it changes all the spaces diagonally, vertically, or horizontally between your colored spaces. The player with the most spaces wins.

Mole hammer

Timing Games

Perfect Timer: The goal is to press the button to match the time displayed. A counter starts counting but disappears after 5 seconds. You have to keep counting and stop the timer as close as you can to match the displayed time.

It’s Thataway!: The goal is to be the first to move in the same direction as the arrow once it appears on the screen.

Timing Stamp: The idea is to time your jumps to land on the moving white patches. But only as it passes through the outlined square. Smaller white patches are worth more than standard size ones. There’s no attacking in this game.

Bomb Roulette: You have to enter a sequence of buttons and directions before time runs out to pass the bomb to the next player. It wasn’t balanced, since whoever got the last spot usually won. We found every new round added complexity to the point the first 3 players lost and the 4th won by default!

Dance This Way: In this minigame a dancer performs some moves. You memorize the pattern of buttons, then it’s your turn to enter the correct pattern. All those hours in my youth playing Simon helped for this game.

Spinning cube

Co-op Mini Games

UFO Collectors: Players control a UFO to collect as many balls as possible. Putting colored balls in their corresponding colors earns more points.

Try-Umph: Players work together moving a jar to collect falling balls. Everyone holds a corner and has to move in the same direction. We enjoyed this game but I can see how some are going to find it frustrating.

Matching Dots: Players work together to build pixel art. We picked up a tile from a palette of 4 colors. Then placed it on the grid accordingly. We had to work fast before time ran out.

Everybody Calculate!: Players work together to solve math problems. We had to stand on random numbers to make the math work. I hate to admit it but randomly running around worked better than figuring out the math!

Climb! Block: Players try to climb to the top as Tetris pieces fall. Only one player has to succeed climbing to the top.

Spinning Cube: Players try to stay on the spinning cube as robots attack them and obstacles get it the way. Only one player needs to survive to win.

Everybody Go!: Players are attached at the hip as they make their way through an obstacle course. Every step or jump depends on all players hitting the correct button.

Catch and Pong: Players catch balls as they fall out of pipes. The balls take a random path through the maze of pipes. Putting the colored ball in it’s corresponding colored bit earns more points.

Shooting Ball: Players shoot balls into the basket to earn points. Gold balls are worth more than standard colored balls.

Cannon Shot: Players shoot cannons at targets. The blast is big enough to hit two or more targets with one shot.

Jumping without Falling: Players do simple math problems to find the correct platform to stand on. Each player has one math problem. Then we had to jump across to the correct platform before time ran out.

Block Labyrinth: Players need to move blocks to make a path to the exit before time runs out. This was one of my favorites.

Bang! Bang! Hammer: Players time the hammer strike for maximum power. They need to earn enough points before time runs out. We each got a turn with the hammer. As long as we all got consistently good strikes, we had success!

Party Party Time Summary

Most Party Party Time mini games are fun and easy to play. We didn’t like the math ones. Our favorites were the cooperative games. The player vs player games were good too.

Since there were many games to choose from the gameplay didn’t go stale. I liked that you just choose a game and started. Some party games have a lot of cut scenes before, during, and after playing that bog it down.

Party Party time was easy to learn and had a variety of games in my experience.
