<p class="has-medium-font-size">We play a lot of Totally Reliable Delivery Service. If you&#8217;ve ever played then you know it&#8217;s an open world game that lends itself to unusual gaming experiences. Sure, getting all the achievements is okay, but have you ever tried launching a boat onto the road?</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">This game is made for antics. We spend more time testing the limits of the game than actually doing any deliveries. We&#8217;ve found many ways to wile away the time playing TRDS without doing any deliveries.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/11/Totally-Reliable-Delivery-Service-Unusual-Methods-683x1024.jpg" alt="Totally Reliable Delivery Service Unusual Methods" class="wp-image-86377" style="width:350px;height:auto" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/11/Totally-Reliable-Delivery-Service-Unusual-Methods-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/11/Totally-Reliable-Delivery-Service-Unusual-Methods-200x300.jpg 200w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/11/Totally-Reliable-Delivery-Service-Unusual-Methods-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/11/Totally-Reliable-Delivery-Service-Unusual-Methods.jpg 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-6ae2fe02"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Stop The Trolley</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">One of our favorites is to stop the trolley. Did you know it&#8217;s possible? The trolley goes in an endless loop around the city. Near the drawbridge is the entrance to a narrow valley. Which makes for a great bottleneck if you&#8217;re inclined to attempt to stop the trolley.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Bring in trucks, airplanes, hot air balloons, UFO&#8217;s, forklifts, and anything else that moves. Then pile them in the narrowest part of the valley to block the road and wait for the trolley. This takes at least two players since vehicles disappear if you get too far away from them.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Have at least one player near the opening to the valley at all times while others bring vehicles. Don&#8217;t block the trolley&#8217;s path right away. Get at least a dozen vehicles in the area, wait for the trolley to pass then pile everything you have in the valley to block the road. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">By the time the trolley returns you should have a good wall built. If at first you don&#8217;t succeed, try, try, again. Even if you crash the game, it&#8217;s worth it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Adventures in Totally Reliable Delivery" width="720" height="405" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pqjzh6sY8xA?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-d30cb3f5"><h3 class="uagb-heading-text">Stop The Ferry</h3></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Another similar game is trying to stop the ferry. Using the bridge in combination with UFO&#8217;s usually results in some hilarious attempts. The pirate ship also does well for this game too.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">There just aren&#8217;t as many options for the ferry as there are the trolley. It&#8217;s practically impossible to stop the either but it sure is fun trying. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">While we&#8217;re at it we usually try flipping the pirate ship or UFO upside-down. It&#8217;s not as easy as it sounds. Flipping them right side up is even harder. </p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-758e0559"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">UFO Tag</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Another favorite is to play is UFO tag. The player who&#8217;s it get&#8217;s the UFO while everyone else scatters around the map. The idea is for the UFO to collect the players and toss them in the water before time runs out. Once a player respawns, they&#8217;re out. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The time limit depends on the amount of players or how much of the map is allowed. We usually make it somewhere between 5 or 10 minutes. The only rule is the other players aren&#8217;t allowed to use the UFO or other flying vehicles. If they could swim or fly it defeats the point of the game. </p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-df69ca5c"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Whacky Races</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Any game that has vehicles doubles as a racing game. The faster vehicles are so hard to control, it mostly comes down to who crashes the least. Give each vehicle a try. Each vehicle offers a different type race.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Unlike Mario Kart, these races aren&#8217;t about speed. They&#8217;re mostly about who can stay on the track or even finish. It surprisingly easy to get a vehicle stuck upside-down or in a tree. Each vehicle comes with it&#8217;s own challenges.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1024x576.jpg" alt="Totally Reliable Delivery Service screenshot" class="wp-image-85905" style="width:548px;height:auto" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Boats and airplanes can also race around the city for a track. Racing with forklifts isn&#8217;t recommended, unless you just want to have a battle type race. There are many vehicles to choose from to have a race.</p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-eba5a869"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Summary</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">We fool around a lot in this game and found a few ways to have fun. The more players you have the better. But there&#8217;s a more to do in this game than just make deliveries.</p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile" style="grid-template-columns:33% auto"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="512" height="512" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon.png" alt="" class="wp-image-81391 size-full" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon.png 512w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon-300x300.png 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon-150x150.png 150w" sizes="(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">

<p>I&#8217;m David M. I’ve been playing video games a long time, my pong game was fire. Now, my kids run circles around me but we always have a good time. We mostly play party and family games. Strategy and battle games are still among my favorites. I like writing about games almost as much as I do playing them. My favorite games are: Moving Out 2, Out of Space and Overcooked All You Can Eat.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">People often ask is Totally Reliable Delivery Service worth getting? My answer is always yes, as long as you have people to play with. As a solo game it just isn&#8217;t the same. It really needs at least 2 players to enjoy it. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">I&#8217;ve played through every achievement and delivery solo. Which was okay as far as games go. However, I&#8217;ve laughed so hard I cried playing with other people. You just can&#8217;t get that same experience playing solo. </p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-040cd348"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">How to Play</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">In Totally Reliable Delivery Service the idea is to deliver packages all over the city. You are employed by TRDS and it&#8217;s your job to deliver packages. You select a character where you can customize their hair, outfit, etc. Then spawn at headquarters where you get your first delivery.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Each delivery has special instructions. Generally, they are either time sensitive or damage sensitive. Meaning the package starts at 100% and lowers every time it takes damage. Keeping a package at 100% takes a lot of time so there is no time limit for these packages.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1-1024x576.jpg" alt="Totally Reliable Delivery Service map screenshot" class="wp-image-85909" style="width:588px;height:auto" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315025936_1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">On the other hand, time sensitive packages have no damage meter. So throw, launch, or move these packages by any means to get them on time. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">While the first few deliveries are easy, they do get harder. As you progress you unlock more vehicles and delivery areas. Earning achievements and money for custom skins. All things considered, completing the game solo amounts to an average game.</p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-21af1677"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Playing With Friends</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Where Totally Reliable Delivery Service really shines is when you play with two or more people. The deliveries and goals don&#8217;t change. In fact many become easier with more players. During solo games the packages tend to not stay in the vehicle.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Having one player responsible for the package while the other player driving works out well. Getting packages on time or with no damage is a little easier with more players.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1-1024x576.jpg" alt="Totally Reliable Delivery Service screenshot" class="wp-image-85904" style="width:588px;height:auto" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240316035302_1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">It&#8217;s also much funnier. The mechanics and physics of the game are setup to make everything from driving to moving around difficult. There&#8217;s a thin line between helping and hindering. But at least everyone will have a good laugh while trying to make deliveries.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">TRDS also has a a few built in mini games and a mini Rocket League stadium. When you buy the DLC the mini games unlock power ups such as wings, a helmet, or float.</p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-eb08cc9f"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Playing Unconventional Ways</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">While doing deliveries and the mini games are fun, I&#8217;ve found many ways to have fun apart from doing deliveries. When we get together to play we rarely do deliveries anymore.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Instead, we have races, play other games, and see how far we can push the physics of the game. We like to play tag, crack the whip, follow the leader, hide and seek, etc. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">We play tag, follow the leader, or hide and seek pretty much anywhere. Crack the Whip can be played with any vehicle or carnival ride in the game. The airplane is best for Crack the Whip. Have everyone grab hold of the airplane, then one player takes off and tries to fling everyone off. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">You can mix up follow the leader with the power ups. Hide and Seek requires turning off the name tags. Using the UFO to catch people and throw them in the ocean is fun too. But the most fun we have is making up challenges.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1024x576.jpg" alt="Totally Reliable Delivery Service screenshot" class="wp-image-85905" style="width:588px;height:auto" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2024/09/20240315033022_1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">How many vehicles does it take in the narrow pass no block the trolley? Can you stop the ferry with the bridge or other boats? How many vehicles fit in the delivery truck? Can you land an airplane in the blimp? Who can jump a boat farthest onto land? </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">You get the idea. Totally Reliable Delivery Service also doubles as an open world type game.</p>

<div class="wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-fac41592"><h2 class="uagb-heading-text">Summary</h2></div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">In my opinion, Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a great co-op game but not for doing deliveries. It&#8217;s much more fun to just goof off and see what you can do. I definitely recommend it if you have two or more players.</p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile" style="grid-template-columns:33% auto"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="512" height="512" src="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon.png" alt="" class="wp-image-81391 size-full" srcset="https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon.png 512w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon-300x300.png 300w, https://i.familygamesquad.com/uploads/2023/09/RC-Car-Icon-150x150.png 150w" sizes="(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">
