How to get Gold Mario from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
This is my guide to getting Gold Mario and Gold Parts in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Gold Mario
You can unlock Gold Mario by winning all twelve grand prix gold cups at 200cc. Once unlocked Metal Mario can be played and Gold Mario in the same listing.
Gold Parts
Gold Standard Kart can be unlocked by getting at least 1 star ranking in all base-game Mirror Cups.
Gold Tires can be unlocked by completing all the Time Trials in 150cc, not including the downloadable content (DLC). In my opinion this is the hardest to unlock of all the gold parts and Gold Mario.
The Gold Glider is just by collecting 5000 coins.
Good Set-ups
To unlock the Gold Tires I recommend using the following set-ups:
- Daisy/Tri-Speeder/Azure Roller/Paper Glider
- Rosalina/P-Wing/Azure Roller/Parachute
- Yoshi/Teddy Buggy/Roller/Paper Glider
- Bowser/Biddy Buggy/Azure Roller/Parachute
Although some of them have the same stats as others, those are our personal favorites.
