Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice – Review
Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice is another Nancy Drew game among my favorites. This game is fun like most of the Nancy Drew PC games and here is my review for the game.
Why The Phantom of Venice?
Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice is another fun and exciting game installment in the popular Nancy Drew PC game series. In this game, players take on the role of the famous teenage detective, Nancy Drew, as she travels to Venice to solve the mystery of the Phantom.
The game features beautiful and detailed graphics of the iconic city of Venice, which really immerses players in the atmosphere of the game. The story is engaging and full of twists and turns, keeping players on their toes as they try to uncover the identity of the Phantom.
One of the highlights of the game is the variety of puzzles and challenges that players must solve in order to progress in the story. From decoding messages to navigating the maze-like streets of Venice, there are plenty of brain-teasing obstacles to overcome.
How We Test Games
For testing games we use a Ryzen 7 1700x CPU, AMD RX580, running on Win 10. Tests are done with up to 5 players. We take turns playing and evaluating games.
This game is only 1-player and it’s for PC/MAC. We’ve been playing together on two computers on the Steam version for this game.
Whenever possible we play multiple players. We use a Nintendo Switch firmware version 2H. Hardware includes Joy-con and Pro controller on a large screen TV. We also use a Nintendo 2DS, DS XL.
Pros
For “scary things” This game doesn’t have that. There’s some creepy masks but other than that there isn’t any “scary things”.
This game unlike most has where you can dress up Nancy Drew! although she is just a siloute it is still fun putting on dresses, pants and other things that she can wear.
Like most of the Nancy Drew game this game has a well-written storyline, engaging characters and fun puzzles to solve.
There are things to learn in this game. Like, this game has you learning a few words of Italian and things about Venice.
Cons
Unforutunly like most Nancy Drew games, once you solve the mystery you know who the culprit is. Although after waiting a while you might forget.
Sometimes making the in-game money in this game can be frustrating. But not really a big con.
Summary
Overall, Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice is a well-crafted and entertaining game that will appeal to fans of the series as well as newcomers. With its intriguing story, challenging puzzles, and beautiful setting, it is sure to provide hours of fun and excitement for players of all ages.
