Pretty Princess Magical Garden Island – Review

Pretty Princess Magical Garden Island is fairly new, and is one of my favorite games. This is my opinion of the game.

Why Pretty Princess Magical Garden?

Well, it’s basically a cheaper version of Animal Crossing. This game is 40$ compared to Animal Crossing which is 60$. They’re really similar but I like this game better.

Pretty Princess Magical Garden Island is less stressful compared to Animal Crossing. This game has you building and decorating an island as a princess with bunny villagers you can talk to.

Comparable Games

I think this game is a LOT like Animal Crossing: New Horizons but a little less stress. Animal Crossing takes place in real time so you can be limited to get things done but in Pretty Princess Garden you can do things without worrying about real time.

Pretty Princess Magical Garden Island is a 1-player game for the Nintendo Switch. You play as a princess avatar on island you can decorate. You can plant crops, flowers, catch fish and bugs. There are shops that sell dresses, plants and decorations all for in game coins.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a 1-player game for the Nintendo Switch. In this game you play as a Avtar that lives on an island with cute animal villagers. You can build your own home and make choices on where the villagers will live. There is also online play where you can visit other players’ islands and trade items.

How We Test Games

For testing games we use a Nintendo Switch firmware version 2H. Hardware includes Joy-con and Pro controller on a large screen TV. Tests are done with up to 5 players. We take turns playing and evaluating games.

Whenever possible we play multiple players. We also use a Nintendo 2DS, DS XL, and for PC games we use a Ryzen 7 1700x CPU, AMD RX580, running on Win 10.

This game is only 1-player and it’s for the Nintendo Switch. I’ve played though the whole game and reached the Max level; 20.

Pros

As I’ve said throughout this post; This game is less stressful than Animal Crossing. It doesn’t take place in real time so you have time to get things done and you can take as long as you want to.

Pretty Princess Garden is also cheaper than Animal Crossing. It’s 20$ dollars cheaper than Animal Crossing.

Cons

A pretty big con is that you almost have to wait for everything. Crops to grow, things to cook and even canceling a request you don’t want to do.

It’s a lot of time to get everything 100% clear. There is sooooooooo many items to but so that takes a LOT of time to do.

Summary

I like this game a lot, but it can get tiring waiting for items to grow or get done. If you like games like Animal Crossing but just don’t have the money, then this game is a good choice. However if you already have Animal Crossing and are happy with it then you don’t really need to buy this game. I mean the story and characters are different but the game play is pretty similar.
