Here are some tips for this game. These tips include strategies to play the minigames and more.

If you’re like us we don’t really do VS we like to do Co-op even if it’s supposed to be VS. In some minigames like the Big-Top Quiz minigame you can work together. Each player can watch a Toad and what their ball’s picture looks like to win together.

Another minigame that can be turned co-op is Hot Cross Blocks. If each player works together to all get across by selecting different paths and calling out what path they chose so someone else doesn’t chose it also.

Thwomp the Difference, Gate Key-pers, Sled to the Edge, Treasure Divers are also minigames that can be played co-op.

Even if you’re playing 1-player you can still play co-op along as you have friends with you. Like in the Sleight of Shell minigame you can all watch for the right shell and be more likely to succeed.

In the Match! That! Item! minigame it’s good to try to remember what comes before the item you need. So you can press it then and spam the button to get the right item you need. For example, if you need a Super Star press the button at Yoshi’s Egg and then spam the button to get the Super Star.

In the Blame It on the Crane minigame for the team side it’s best to stay in the inner ring and move slowly until you get to the crane then speed past and repeat to survive in this minigame.

Tricks

It’s fun finding tricks in the game. We usually end up laughing when we find tricks that are basically pressing the “win” button, lol.

The Party Mode saves your progress every turn. You can use this to close and re-open the game to get the Jamboree Buddy you want. Because it saves there is a Jamboree Buddy but not which one.

In the Burger Builders minigame if you watch the light colored spots line up with the ring’s light colored spots. If you wait until they a line then you can get “Nice” every time.

In the Short Stack Chef minigame, if you watch closely, you can see a red circle that appears on the pancake. Wait for it to disappear completely before flipping it to get a “Nice”.

This game is lots of fun overall. There are 112 minigames total, some of the minigames require Motion Controls. 9 of the minigames are updated versions of classic Mario Party minigames.

There are some coin minigames but they don’t have a special category. In coin minigames the goal is to get coins. There are no winners or losers just along as everyone gets coins. The headings in gold are coin minigames.

4-Player minigames

4-Player minigames also know as Free-for-all minigames, everyone plays a minigame and tries to win. There are 29 minigames in this category.

Lumber Tumble

Try to stay on the planform while avoiding shy guys’ logs that chase you.

Big-Top Quiz

Watch each Toad roll around on balls and try to remember the Toad’s picture, color and more.

Camera-Ready

At the beginning they show you a picture, you have to look around a mini hub world and match the picture.

Scare-ousel

Try to survive on a moving carousel with obstacles.

Snag the Flags

Collect the most flags while running around on a ball like planet.

Sandwiched

Try to avoid getting squished by sandwiches.

Hot Cross Blocks

Try to chose the best path to get across.

Light-Wave Battle

Ground pound to send out shock waves.

Thwomp the Difference

Behind each Thwomp is a picture of either an apple, orange, grape or banana. You have to guess which is the odd picture.

Cold Front

Try not to fall off or get blown off.

Hot-Hot Hop

Try to avoid getting hit or falling off.

Domination

Mash the A button to hit the most Whomp like dominoes. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 4.

Three Throw

Try to score baskets to get points. Golden baskets are worth the most points. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 4.

Granite Getaway

Try not to get crushed by the Boulder. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 6.

Tilt-a-Golf

Tilt the controller using motion controls to get the ball in the hole.

Night Lights

Shale the controller via motion controls to light up your lights.

Hammer It Home

Use motion controls to hammer in the nails.

Twist and Sort

Tilt the controller using motion controls to sort the Bloopers and Cheap-Cheaps.

Shuttle Scuttle

Use motion controls to steer your spaceship. Try not to get hit.

Tiny Triathlon

Using motion controls swim, bike and jump to the goal.

Pickax Dash

Using motion controls, shake the controller to get through the rock first.

Gate Key-pers

Everyone takes turns trying to guess which key unlocks which gate. Try to remember what has been tried to guess which key goes where.

Sled to the Edge

Press the button at the last second, but don’t wait too long or else you’ll fall! Keep in mind you slide a little after pressing the button.

Rinks to Riches

Skate in a giant skate and collect coins.

Treetop Treasure

Jump from either platform and try to get coins.

Treasure Divers

Try to get a treasure chest to the top without getting hit or running out of air

Platform Peril

Try not to fall off while collecting coins.

Stamp Out!

Try to stamp the most of your color onto the paper.

Trample-line

Jump on the Ant Troopers for as long as you can without getting hit by the Spiky Ant Troopers.

1-vs.-3 minigames

One person plays against a team of three players. There are 12 minigames in this category.

Sunset Standoff

The team of three has to try to avoid getting hit by the one player.

Cookie Cutters

Bot sides must cut cookies with the right cookie cutter.

Unfriendly Flying Object

One player tries to hit the team with spiky blocks.

Lost and Pound

The one player hides in one of the colored spots while the team must guess where their hiding.

Arch Rivals

The one player must try to shoot the targets while the team (using motion controls) has to try to avoid them hitting the targets by swaying from side to side.

On-Again, Off-Again

The team has to avoid getting hit by the Grrrols while the one plays tries to hit a switch to turn on/off platforms to help them hit the team.

Broozer Bash

One player tries to hit the team side while on a giant robot Broozer.

Cage Catch

The team tries to catch the one player in a cage. One member on each team has different job, one hits the catch button and the other two move up and down and left and right.

Income Stream

Both sides need to try to collect coins. The one player side rides Plessie and the team ride jet skies.

Blame It on the Crane

One player tries to catch the team side using a crane the team side tries to avoid being caught while rolling around in hamster balls. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 4.

Snow Brawl

Both sides fight in a snowball fight. The one player side has the help of AI monkeys. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 6.

Squeaky Shakedown

The one player tires to hit the team side with a hammer to steel their coins while the team side has to avoid the one player.

2-vs.-2 minigames

Play team minigames with two on each team. There are 12 minigames in this category.

Rocky Rope Race

Hold the button to hang on, let go when your partner has a hold of the next ledge.

Pickin’ Produce

Try to put the fruit in the right baskets. Sometimes you need to pass fruit back and forth to get it to the right one.

Prime Cut

Try to cut the Steaks in half.

Dorrie Pedal-Paddle

Shake the control using motion controls to row. One player makes it move left, and the other player steers it right.

Robo Arm Wrestle

Shake the controller to win.

Shadow Play

Try to match the shape shown in the middle.

Match Makers

Try to the find the match from a pile of cards.

Defuse or Lose

Try to keep the flame from reaching the King Bomb-omb. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 5.

Jump the Gun

One player has to try to make a path for their teammate while the other player must cross that path to the goal. This minigame was originally from Mario Party 6.

Two-Axis Taxi

One player moves left and right while their teammate moves up and down.

Tricky Turntable

Try to hop on the button to get the most coins.

Coin Corral

Using motion controls, lasso Tresure chests. The big Tresure chests you have to lasso together.

Duel minigames

Duel it out with 1-on-1 minigames. There are 5 minigames in this category.

Fast Fishing

Shake the control via motion controls and try to catch the fish before the other player does.

Slappy-Go-Round

Ground Pound to make the hand slap the other player. You can also fake them out by just pressing the jump button once instead of twice.

Fuzzy Heights

Use the control stick to move upwards and try to get higher than the other player.

Stone-Eye Bowling

Move the bowling ball and try to move it to the best place to hit the most pins.

All the Marbles

Race through loads of Marbles to get to the goal.

Item minigames

Play minigames to try to get an item. There are 5 minigames in this category.

Roll With It

Use motion controls and tilt the joy con to pick the item you want.

Prize Line

Try to time pressing the button to connect the line to the item you want.

A Stone’s Throw

Press the button at the right time to get the item you want.

Flip ‘n Find

Watch he cards and pick the item you want by matching that item card.

Prize Drop

Time dropping the ball to get the item you want.

Showdown minigames

This is a brand-new type of minigames, in these minigames you try to win a Jaboree Buddy. They play similiter to Free-For-All but with three stages or more to each minigame. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Mario’s Three-peat

Play three different classic minigames in a row.

Starting with Leaf Leap from Mario Party 5, move the control stick and press the button to jump from leaf to leaf. Then in Bumper Balls from the verry first Mario Party, bump everyone else off the edge. Finally, in Shy Guy Says also from the first Mario Party you need to press L or R to raise the same flag as Shy Guy.

Luigi Rescue Operation

Try to solve puzzles to rescue Luigi. If you need any help solving the puzzles there’s a TV in each room showing the answer.

In the first room you need to put together a picture. Then in the second room you need to find the odd stature. Next in the third room you have to step on the tiles in the right order listed. Then in the fourth room you need to push the barrels out of the way to get through. Then the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth room repeat the first five. Finally in the ninth room you need to enter the password shown on the floor.

Peach’s Day Off

Play different minigames themed with helping Peach do stuff on her day off.

First you have to carry her boxes without dropping any. Then you must choose a donut tray that someone else hasn’t chosen. Finally, you have to collect fireworks for Peach in whatever color she wants.

Daisy’s Field Day

Try collect tokens on obstacle courses. There are three stages.

Wario’s Buzzer Beater

Try to answer the questions correctly.

Waluigi’s Pinball Arcade

Play Pinball and try to get the most points.

Yoshi’s Mountain Race

Race to the goal on a Yoshi.

Rosalina’s Radical Race

Using Motion Controls, race on a snowboard and do tricks.

DK’s Konga Line

Match Donkey’s beat by press L, R and both at the same time.

Jr.’s Jauntlet

Avoid getting hit, catch chickens and pop balloons to get points.

Koopathlon/Survivathon minigames

Play minigames that each have three stages and have you trying to get coins. There are 14 minigames in this category total, 5 in Survivathon and the rest in Koopathlon.

Noggin Knock

Try to hit the Monty Moles to get coins.

Brick Breaker

Try to break all the bricks by moving side to side.

Gold ‘n Brown

Try to bring out the baked bread before it burns.

Spike’s Gambit

Try to collect coins while avoiding the spike bars.

Down the Hatch

Push the coins and dolls down the hatch to get coins.

Lane Change

Try to collect coins you can speed up by pressing the button. Move left and right to avoid obstacles.

Coin Conveyor

Try to make full rows to get coins.

Which Door Has More?

Try to make a quick guess which door has more. Like for example there is a room with 12 goombas and 6 hammer bros, you can guess goomba has more without actually counting them all.

Sky-High Cannons

Time launching out of a cannon to get more coins.

Burning Bridges

Jump to avoid getting hit.

Castle Hassle

Run away from Imposter Bowser and avoid getting hit.

Sleight of Shell

Watch the shell that doesn’t have any bombs and try to chose that one after the shuffle.

Fire Away

Press the button to get higher but avoid getting hit from above or below.

The Floor Is Falling

Avoid falling through the floor.

Kaboom-Squad minigames

Eight player co-op minigames but note to play eight players you need to play online, or you can do 1-player on one switch offline. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Juiceworks

Three people try to gather apples, two people try to fill up bottles with apple juice and another three people try to put the bottles onto a delivery truck.

Ball Volley

Everyone must bounce the ball across the field.

Ballistic Bingo

Try to shoot the targets so that there in a row to make a “Bingo”.

Bath Bob-ombs

Throw Bomb-ombs away from the gate into the water.

Chomp Wash

One player tries to clean the Chain-Chomp while the rest must stop the water pipes from leaking.

Match! That! Item!

Try to stop the roulette at the right time to match the picture.

Trading Cards

Try to put the eight cards in the right order to make a picture or number them from one 1 to 8.

Ski-daddle

Press L and R to move forward. But you have to keep in tempo with the music.

Look This Way

Use the control stick to look in the direction the arrow points.

Puzzle Pandemonium

Try to put together a puzzle as fast as possible.

Rhythm minigames

Play minigames timed to music, these minigames are co-op. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Soup Troupe

Try to chop the ingredients in time to the music.

Parfait the Course

Fling the fruit onto the Parfait in time with the music.

Whisk Cream

Sterr the cream in time to the music.

Spread ‘n Butter

Collect butter onto the knife and then put it on in time with the music.

Short Stack Chef

Flip the pancakes in time with the music.

Put on the ingredients in time to the music.

Collect shells and avoid Urchins, Cheep Cheeps and Whirlpools. Press the button to throw the shells at Dragoneel when they come out of the water.

Try to ground pound the mega Stingby.

Mega Rocky Wrench Wreckers

Try to shoot the mega Rocky Wrench and avoid getting hit by the wrenches.

Boss Sumo Bro Blitzers

Connect the pipes to complete the puzzle and shock the mega Sumo Bro.

Bowser Crashers

Try to attack Mega Imposter Bowser.

Why Super Mario Party Jamboree?

Super Mario Party Jamboree is good just like other Mario Party games. This game is up to 4-players on one Nintendo Switch like the others. This game has 5 new boards to play on along with 2 classics. There are brand new minigames and some old with a mix to it.

There are new modes to play too, Koopas’s Flight school is pretty cool. In that mode you use motion controls to fly Mario and Luigi in an open world, competition mode or co-op mode. There is also Rhythm Kitchen and Toad’s Item Factory which are 4-player co-op modes.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is pretty detailed. Each character has their own jingle when it’s their turn in Mario Party and there’s a hub world with little scenes to take pictures of. The graphics are well done and it’s bright and colorful.

This game sort of combines the features and systems in  Mario Party Superstars and other things from past Mario parties and Super Mario Party.

How We Test Games

For testing games we use a Nintendo Switch firmware version 2H. Hardware includes Joy-con and Pro controller on a large screen TV. Tests are done with up to 5 players. We take turns playing and evaluating games.

Whenever possible we play multiple players. We also use a Nintendo 2DS, DS XL, and for PC games we use a Ryzen 7 1700x CPU, AMD RX580, running on Win 10. This game is up to 4-players on one Nintendo Switch.

Pros

There’s lots of new content like minigames, boards and new modes just like Super Mario Party.

This game has more playable characters than any other Mario Party before. The total is 22 with Pauline and Ninji being unlockable.

They let you use 2 joy-con controllers unlike Super Mario Party. There is some minigames you have to use one but that’s only motion control minigames.

Cons

There’s not much cons to this game. Some minigames were in other Mario Part games like Shy Guy says but there is plenty of new content to make up for that.

There is lots of cutscenes. A lot of them you can’t skip and a game that would be 30 minutes turns out to be 40 or 50. The cutscenes are nice and all but once you see it 50 times you just want to skip them.

But the biggest con is there is 39 out of 112 minigames you can’t do 4-player. There’s 34 1-player and 5 only 2-player. There is still a lot of minigames to play but close to half isn’t 4-player.

Summary

Overall, Super Mario Party Jamboree is great. With the new boards, minigames and modes to play makes it a good game. Although you might think, “What’s the difference between all the Mario parties”? well I have a post about that you can read to learn more.

Tips

Here is a list of some tips we’ve found in this game. Like tips on the best strategies to play the minigames and more.

In the Candy Shakedown minigame it’s best to get all the hard candy pieces out first then try the easer ones. The green and red ones are the hardest.

In the Don’t Wake Wiggler minigame, you can always pet them five times on the first round of turns.

In the minigame Drop Quiz if no one knows the answer to the last answer and nobody has fell yet you could try each standing on an answer.

In the River Survival mode, teamwork is essential. Make sure you and your teammates row in sync to avoid obstacles and collect extra time balloons. Minigames in River Survival help you earn time, so the better you perform, the longer you’ll survive.

As they always say “Pratice makes perfect”. Minigames are key to earning coins and gaining the upper hand in Mario Party. So to master the minigames, try out the Free Play mode to familiarize yourself with each type of game. Learn the controls for each minigame. Some require speed, others strategy or teamwork, so understanding how to approach different styles can give you an advantage.

In the Party modes before every turn, take a moment to check the board and the location of stars, rivals, and item shops. Choosing a strategic path can make a big difference in collecting stars and items.

Use items wisely like the Golden Pipe, which warps you near a star, or mushrooms to give you an extra movement boost. Save powerful items for critical moments.

Tricks

We’ve found some tricks in this game that can verry helpful. Although sometimes Foxy can be quite magic and do things that just don’t seem possible.

In the Croozin’ for a Broozin’ minigame there is sometimes a pattern on what pathway to use. In practice pay attention and see what’s the right path. For example, let’s say the right path in practice was red that means in the atrucal game it will be blue.

That means it will follow the pattern of red blue red blue until the pathways change colors then it will be red red blue blue and so on. The father you go the more the paths change color and then it keeps adding one to the pattern.

Try to be the center of Koopa’s photo while slapping anyone in your way.

Sizzling Stakes

Using motion controls, cook a stake and flip it until all sides are done.

Snack Attack

Use the control stick to move around and collect falling popcorn kernels while avoiding boulders.

Barreling Along

While using motion controls, roll along to the goal on top of a barrel.

Sphere Mongers

Move the control stick and press X to collect spheres and drop them in your goal.

Senseless Census

Move around using the control stick and try to count all the toads. Press Y to increase the amount and A to decrease the amount.

Social Climbers

Using motion controls, work your way up to the top of the pole.

Can Take Pancake

Try to collect the most pancakes. The ones with a star on them are worth the most points.

Lost in the Shuffle

Try to keep a eye on the smallest toad.

Gridiron Gauntlet

Use the control stick to move around but try not to get hit by the Chargin’ Chucks.

Candy Shakedown

Using motion controls shake the controller to try to all the candy out of the jar.

Fuzzy Flight School

Try to survive he longest while avoiding the Fuzzies. Use motion controls to steer the plane.

Soak or Croak

Try to flinger other off the stage by spraying them with a water gun. Shake the controller to refill the water gun.

Looking for Love

Use the controller stick or the A, B Y and X buttons to look at the Heart.

Croozin’ for a Broozin’

Try to choose the best path to avoid the Broozers.

Trip Navigator

Make your way through all the banana peels to get to the goal the fastest.

Look Sharp

Using motion controls, try to focus the magnifying glass on Toad, Spike and Koppa Troopa.

Absent Minded

All the pictures are jumbled, and you have to try to guess which picture of three listed below is not in the jumbled pictures.

Don’t Wake Wiggler!

Use motion controls to shake the controller to pet wiggler. Don’t pet them to much or else they will wake up!

Feeding Friendsy

Hold L and R and shake the controller to throw ball into the fish mouths. Shake it hard to throw it high and soft to throw it low.

Stake Your Claim

Try to select the longest and biggest piece before the other players do.

Rumble Fishing

Use the vibration to feel where the biggest fish is. The longer and stronger the rumble, the bigger it is.

Rattle and Hmmm

Using the vibration, feel what character has what rumble. Try to remember to choose the right answer.

Metal Detectors

Try to dig up coins. Use the vibration to feel where the coins are.

Air to a Fortune

Try to select the cloud with the most money but avoid jumping into each other. We usually call out what coins we’re going for.

Follow the Money

Try to collect coins. Sometime staying behind can be rewarding in this minigame.

Lightning Round

Try to collect coins but avoid the lighting.

Timing Is Money

Try to time jumping to get coins instead of bombs.

1-vs.-3 minigames

3-Player minigames, is where it’s three against one type minigames. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Smash and Crab

Three players work together in a giant crab robot white one person tries not to get hit off the stage.

Off the Chain

One player tries to hit three players of the stage while on top of a Chain-Chomp.

Dust Buddies

Both sides try to collect dust in their vacuums. One player has one big vacuum while the team of three has one smaller vacuum that they all share.

Sign, Steal, Deliver

Both sides need to gather packages but one player has drone to do it and can carry one at a time while the team of three can carry two at a time.

Dart Gallery

Three players try to hit the one player with darts onto their hamster ball.

Block and Load

Both sides try to knock down the block tower. One player has a big cannon to launch a ball after charging while the team of three has three small cannons each with smaller balls that don’t need to charge.

Drop Shot

One player tries to hit the other players off the screen using a tennis racket and bombs.

Bopping Spree

Each side need to hit the lighted up ball. The team of three are on the outside of the ring while the one player is on the inside.

Drop Quiz

Both sides watch some Toads, Koopas and other characters run by, some holding fruit. The one player choses a question like “How many Toads had fruit?” then the players must try to remember and chose the right answer.

What a Racket

Play a game of tennis but mixed with hot potato. One player has a mega racket while the other team has smaller rackets.

2-vs.-2 minigames

2-vs.-2 minigames, is where it’s teams of two against two type minigames. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Pie Hard

Try to get the most points by hitting the other team with the most pies. You can hold two pies at once.

Tall Order

Using motion controls, shave ice into the bowl, trying to get it the highest.

Making Faces

Try to match the face shown at the beginning the closest you can to win.

Maths of Glory

Try to get a high number to beat the other team. The six is the highest number.

Dash and Dine

Match the Toad’s order by gathering Lettuce, Tomatoes and Bacon.

Fruit Forecast

Try to collect the most fruit but avoid the spike bombs.

Nut Cases

Try to guess what box has the most acorns inside using the vibration.

Tow the Line

Try to match the picture with the string tied around both team members.

Perfect Fit

Using motion controls, try to make the square shape fit together.

Juice Box

Try to find and match the right fruit patterns. There are always two so both teams can have a chance to get one.

Team minigames

Team minigames, are a lot like 2-vs2 minigames but you can have allies help you. Like in the party modes you can collect an ally that will give you their dice block and their help in these minigames. There are 10 minigames in this category.

Rowboat Uprising

Both team members use motion controls to steer the boat One player make it move left and the other play right.

Train in Pain

Try to hit the back of the opponent’s train car.

Pull It Together

Mash the X button and try to win a game of Tug-o-war.

Hammer and Sic ‘Em

Try to pop the opponent’s balloons.

It’s the Pits

Run around and try not to stay in the lighted area, or else you’ll fall!

Just for Kicks

Play a short game of soccer (or football).

Bumper Brawl

While in a hamster ball try to knock the other team off the stage.

Lit Potato

Mini Baseball League

This game is playing Baseball with two teams. Take turns batting and pitching the ball.

Puzzle Hustle

Everyone on one team tries to complete a pixel puzzle of one of the characters like Peach or Mario for example.

Shell Shocked Deluxe

In this minigame two people try to destroy each other’s rival tanks to win. Only up to 2-players can play this minigame.

Banana, Split

We have never played this minigame. But from what we’ve read you play five rounds and try to match up the two switches to align the two halves of a banana as fast as possible.

Mario Party Superstars is a great game. It has minigames and boards from past Mario Party games from 1 to 10. There is no shortage of fun and diverse challenges for players to tackle.

This game can be played up to 4-players or online which can be fun when playing with friends. There is also different modes to choose from:

• Party Mode– Play on a board and try to collect stars like all other Mario Party games.
• Minigames – Play minigames from all different modes.
• Tro Challenge – In this mode you play three VS one minigames and try to win and get the best time. This mode is only up to three players.
• Survival Mode – Play online and compete in minigames against real life players from all over the world.
• Coins mode – Play coin minigames and try to get the most coins to win.
• Sports and Puzzles – In this mode you play Sports and Puzzles minigames and try to get the best times.

The graphics and design in Mario Party Superstars are really good, with colorful and detailed environments that bring the various game boards to life. The music is upbeat and catchy, enhancing the fun and lighthearted atmosphere of the game.

There’s lots of pros to Mario Party Superstars. Like there’s over 100 minigames from past Mario Party games to choose from. Along with a wide variety of game boards, each with their own unique themes and strategies to master.

Online multiplayer is available, allowing players to connect and compete with friends and other players from around the world.

The game supports up to four players locally, making it a great option for parties and gatherings.

The graphics and visuals are vibrant and colorful, adding to the fun and energetic atmosphere of the game.

Cons

Some players may find the game to be too similar to previous Mario Party titles, lacking innovation and fresh gameplay mechanics. Which I don’t fid to be true but some others might.

The graphics are verry bright and colorful. Making the game just so much better.

Cons

One of the biggest cons is you can’t play all of the minigames without having more than one Nintendo Switch. There is one minigame you can’t play (Banana Split) without at least two switches and copies of the game.

There may be limited single-player experience, because the game is designed for multiplayer.

Motion controls are required for most mini-games and you can only use 1 Joy Con. Which means you can’t play in Hand-Heild mode or with a pro controller.

Summary

Super Mario Party Jamboree

Super Mario Party Jamboree or Jamboree for short, is a lot of fun to play. It released 2024 for the Nintendo Switch. This game has new modes, boards and minigames to play along with some boards and minigames from past mario parties to mix things up.

Super Mario Party Jamboree kinda combines what Super and Superstars has to offer. It’s the sequel to super so it has some similar modes but also has some things in common with Superstars. Like how the minigame system works, party mode and more.

This game features some new modes, some are similar to Super because this game is it’s sequel but it still has new features to offer. This is a list of all the mode below:

1. Party Mode – Party mode is also in Super and Superstars but it is different boards you can play on, it has some new and some classic.
2. Minigames – Play minigames from across other modes.
3. Motion Island – Play three different motion controls themed minigames.
4. Toad’s Item Factory – Work together to get a ball across the stage using motion controls.
5. Paratroopa Flight School – Use motion controls and fly around. There are three different types of modes to play. This mode is only up to 2-players, and you have to Mario and Luigi.
6. Rythm Kitten– Mix up food in time to the music. A lot like Sound Stage from Super but instead of VS you play it co-op.
7. Koopathlon – Race to the end and try to win. This mode is made for online play but can also be played single player.
8. Bowser Kaboom Squad – Try to defeat Imposter Bowser by launching cannon balls at it. This mode is made for online play but can also be played single player.
9. Party-Planner Trek – Try to fulfill tasks to earn mini-stars. This mode is only 1-player.
10. Party Plazza – A hub world where you can spend in game money to but stuff Like stickers and more. You can also view data records.

Mario Party Superstars

Mario Party Superstars or Superstars for short, is a verry fun Party type game released in 2021. This game has old minigames from past Mario parties all the way from 1 to 10. This game is up to 4-players on one Nintendo switch. This game has 100 minigames to play 105 if including item games.

The way this game stands out from Super Mario Party is this game has more minigames. If you played Mario Party 3 or any other of the Mario Party games from 1 to 10 then this will be a throwback to those. Because this game has the minigames and boards from the past Mario Party games.

Although the minigames are not new to some players, they are new to those who didn’t play the past Mario Party games, like Me. All of these minigames are brand new to some players but not others. This game doesn’t have a hub world to explore but it does has Stickers that can be used like Emojis.

This game has less Modes but more Minigames. Here is a list of the modes to play below:

1. Party Mode – Party mode is also in Super and Jamboree but it is different boards you can play on from past Mario Party games.
2. Minigames – Minigames is where you can play minigames from all different modes.
3. Tro Challenge – This mode is only three players. You play three VS one minigames and try to win and get the best time.
4. Survival Mode – Play online and compete in minigames against real life players from all over the world.
5. Coins mode – Play minigames and try to get more coins than other players to win.
6. Sports and Puzzles – In this mode you play Sports and Puzzles minigames and try to get the best times.

Super Mario Party or Super for short, is also a verry fun Party type game released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018. This game has brand new minigames, boards and other modes to play. This game has lots of different modes just for co-op. This game is mostly 4-players for one switch but there is one minigame that can’t be played without a second switch and copy of the game. This game has 84 minigames to play.

This game stands out from Mario Party Superstars because it is waaay different in gameplay because of all the different modes to play. Although the names are super similar the games are not quite as much. This game brings new modes to the classic Mario party series. It has a hub world to explore and find pipes that leads to more minigames to play.

Super Mario Party has lots of different modes to play. Some are focused on co-op while some are VS. Here is a list of the different modes to play below:

1. Party Mode – Party mode is one of the modes that is in Superstars and Jamboree but it is different boards you can play on.
2. Partner Party – Partner Party is party mode only with teams, which does change the gameplay a lot.
3. River Survival – River Survival is all about co-op while you raft rapids togther and play some minigames along the way.
4. Sound Stage – Sound Stage is about playing VS minigames with motion controls timed to music.
5. Challenge Road – Challenge Road is only 1-player. It’s like a story mode where you play minigames and try to get to the end of the pathways.
6. Minigames – Minigames just lets you play all the minigames from all modes.
7. Mariothon – Play four minigames back-to-back.
8. Toad’s Rec Room – In Toad’s Rec Room (which you can get to from one of the hub world’s pipes) has some minigames to play. One of which you need to get two Nintendo Switches and copies of this game (Banana, Split).
9. Stickers – Stickers is only 1-player, you can put stickers you unlock on a board to make a nice picture.

Summary

Overall, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario Party are great games to play. They have similar names but the game themselves are different enough that you can get them all.

Mario Party Superstars has more minigames and they are old ones from Mario Party 1 all the way to 10 along with some new modes. While Super Mario Party has brand new minigames and more modes to play. Super Mario Party Jamboree is the sequel to super, so it has some things that are similar to it but still has new features to offer. But they all are great games and have new content. Draw along the lines, Starting right is the best way to go. There are three different pictures you can do they are Boo, Blooper and Chain Chomp.

Walk around and try to reveal the picture before everyone else.

Face-Lift

Match Your Bowser’s Face to the one in the middle. Or do it completely wrong to be silly.

Hammer Drop

Colect coins and avoid the hammers.

Cast Aways

This one can be really tricky. The longer you flick the joy-stick the further they will fling out the rod.

Dizzy Dancing

This one can be hard at first but after awhile you can get the hang of it. Collect the music notes but the controllers are backwards.

Bumper Balls

It’s like Bumper Cars only with balls. There are three different course to play on they are Lava, Icy and Beach.

Hot Rope Jump

Like Jump Rope only the rope is made out of fire!

Tread Carefully

Shoot your rivels with balls from a tank. It is just like the “Shell Shocked Deluxe” minigame from Super Mario Party.

Bumper Balloon Cars

Also like Bumper Cars but you need to pop the other players’ balloons before they pop yours!

Sneak ‘n’ Snore

Sneak closer and close to the button so you can get out but not to fast because there is a Chain Chomp guarding you.

Mecha Marathon

Mash the A and B (or A and X if you have 1 joy-stick) to wind up your Mecha Shy Guy.

Slot-Car Derby

Race your little RC Car to win the race. There are three levels in this minigame.

Bowser’s Big Blast

Take your chances on which lever to pull that will make the Bowser Bomb blow up! (whenever we do this minigame it is usually green that does it.)

Roll Call

Count the Toads (or Boo and Bomb-ombs depending on which level you chose). Very similar to the “Goomba Spotting” minigame in this game or the “Senseless Census” in the Super Mario Party game.

Honeycomb Havoc

Choose to take one or two pieces of fruit from the tree. Try to avoid getting the beehive!

Snowball Summit

Roll up a really big snowball and try to push off the other players. If the snowball sparkles, then it’s guaranteed to push them off in one hit.

Ice-Rink Risk

Jump over the shells. Last person standing wins.

Bounce ‘n’ Trounce

Bounce and spin to knock other players off the edge.

Storm Chasers

Follow the cloud to make your plant grow bigger, avoid the Moles.

Mush Pit

The point of the game is to get the mushroom and then stomp on the other players. Like the picture you saw before it’s one of our favs. We played this minigame over 50 times.

Cheep Cheep Chase

This one is tricky. Mash the A button (or X button if you’re using 1 joy-con) to swim and move down on the joy-stick to dive and avoid the bombs.

Chip Shot Challenge

It’s Golf so if you played “Mario Golf Super Rush” you might like this minigame. Move the joy-stick left and right to aim your hit and up and down to raise and lower the power. I think it works best if you go last so you can base your move from what worked for other players.

Rockin’ Raceway

Press L and R (SL and SR if you’re using 1 joy-con) to rock your horse. Orange Carrots are good but Blue ones slow you down.

Messy Memory

Put the hats and other things in the place they were before. This one is super easy if you take a picture of it then copy from that.

Parasol Plummet

Try to collect coins but avoid the hammers. All you need to do is move the joy-stick but you can go up to the top by pressing the A (X for 1 joy-con) button.

Trace Race

Trace the line as good as you can to win, It’s not really a race. You can just wiggle up and down to cover the most of the outline which ever way you prefer.

Booksquirm

Fit into the hole and don’t get squished!

Paths of Peril

Try to stay on the path. It’s kinda like the minigame “Isthmus Be the Way” from Super Mario Party.

Dinger Derby

Like baseball, hit the ball with your bat. They can throw you fastballs, slowballs and two balls at once.

Leaf Leap

Jump on the leaves, Left and right. It’s sort of like the minigame “What Goes Up…” in this game.

Pushy Penguins

The Penguins are getting their revenge from the minigame “Penguin Pushers” from Super Mario Party! Anyway just move the joy-stick to try to get through the maze of Penguins.

Coney Island

Go under the shadows to catch ice cream scoops. It’s just like the “Snack Attack” minigame from Super Mario Party only ice cream instead of popcorn.

Bill Blasters

You’re spinning around and you must time shooting at the other players. The more you get hit the slower your character will spin.

Night-Light Fright

Wait to the last second before the chain chomp gets you to shine the light at them. Just so you know, the other players’ chain chomps are not all going to be there at the same time that makes it so you can’t just copy the other players and tie.

Later Skater

Hold the A (or X if you’re using 1 joy-con) to move forward and the joy-stick to move left or right.

Catch You Letter

Grab the letters are the ground and try to catch up to the shy guy. If the letter has a heart on it that means it worth more points.

Trap Ease Artist

Wait until the most goombas are under your trap then press the A (or X) button to drop the trap. Gold Goombas are worth more points.

What Goes Up…

Jump on the flying Koopas and try to get as high as you can.

Snow Whirled

Press the A, X, Y and B buttons like you are moving around the joy-stick as fast as you can to score. Someone has man hands and basically it’s just like pressing one button for him.

Dark ‘n’ Crispy

Avoid Bowser who is lurking in the dark. Also watch out for his fire breath.

Pit Boss

Look out for the spike balls. Jump over them or move the joy-stick to dodge them.

X-Ray Payday

Watch on the left to see what you should open.

Monty’s Revenge

It’s like Whack a Mole only you’re the Mole. Try to stay up as long as possible but don’t get hit by the Moles.

The Final Countdown

Try to stay on the biggest number. Once it counts down to 0 that means it will open and you will fall!

Pokey Pummel

Mash the A (or X) button to hit the Pokey with your hammer.

Manor of Escape

Test the doors to see which one will lead to the lower level.

Goomba Spotting

Press the A (or X for 1-joycon) to count the goombas.

Flash Forward

Similar to the “Slaparazzi” minigame from Super Mario Party, Try to get as close the camera as posable. You can have up to three players on the plate. There are 5 different backgrounds you can choose from that are based on some of the minigames from this game.

Move with the joy-stick and press the A (or X) button to change speed.

1-vs-3 minigames

These are Minigames that three player versus one player. There are 18 minigames in this category.

Piranha’s Pursuit

The Team of three has to jump on the cloud to make it rain to make the plant go faster. If they all three time it then there will be a little rainbow above them. The Solo Player needs to avoid the plant and jump over obstacles.

Tug o’ War

It’s Tug o’ War. Just spin the joy-stick as fast as possible to win.

Archer-ival

The Team of three needs to move and try to avoid getting shot. The Solo Player needs to try and shoot the player targets.

Look Away

The Team of three needs to look a different direction then the Solo Player. At the last round the remaining players can do this, one looks only up and down and the other only looks right and left and then you are guaranteed to win! The Solo Player needs to pick a direction and be tricky about it.

Quicksand Cache

The Team of three need to try to collect coins before the solo player does. The Solo Player can spin the sand left or right to try and sink the other players but they mainly need to collect coins before the team does.

Tidal Toss

The Team of three needs to avoid the solo player’s waves and not fall off the edge. The Solo Player can make waves by jumping or by ground ponding by pressing the A (or X) button.

Boulder Ball

The Team of three needs to get to the top and avoid the boulders. The Solo Player needs to stop the team from getting to the top by throwing boulders at them. Move left and right to aim.

Coconut Conk

The Team of three needs to conk the solo player by ground pounding the tree. The Solo Player needs to avoid getting conked by rolling around.

Spotlight Swim

The Team of three needs to all line up their lights on the solo player. The Solo Player needs to avoid the lights. They can dive by holding the A (or X) button.

Hide and Sneak

It’s Hide and Seak. The team side can hide by pressing one of the buttons while the solo side guesses where they hid.

River Raiders

Colect coins. The Solo side drives while the team side followers along.

GOOOOOOOAL!!

It’s like soccer (or football to some people) the Solo side blocks goals by jumping from left, right, up, down or center. The team side tries to score goals. they can aim them and change them up.

Money Belts

The Solo side can get at the coins first but if they fall off they can get in the way of the team. The team side tries to get the coins the solo player missed they can fall off too but won’t be in the way of the solo player.

Squared Away

The team side tries to squish the solo side. The solo side tries to avoid being squished.

Tube It or Lose It

The solo side tries to pop the team’s sleds. They can push through obstacles. The team side tries to avoid the solo side and any obstacles. Both sides can move forward and backwards.

Pogo-a-Go-Go

The team of three avoid falling through the holds. The solo player can spin the spaceship around to get the other players to fall.

Tackle Takedown

The team side tries to tackle the solo side before they can score. The solo side tries to avoid being tackled by the team. They can use up to three dashes to help them escape the team side.

Skewer Scurry

The solo side moves the spikes to try and hit the players. The team side tries to avoid the spikes by hiding behind walls.

2-vs-2 minigames

These minigames are Two players verses two players. There are 18 minigames in this category.

Bobsled Run

At the beginning of this minigame you have to mash the A (or X for 1 joy-con) to get a good start. After that you can both move left or right (it works best if you both move the same way) and Avoid falling off the edge. Similar to the “Handcar Havoc” in this game only that has lava and this has ice.

Handcar Havoc

Just like the “Bobsled Run” you need to mash the button but you don’t need to mash the button at the start you do it the hold way though. To slow down you must press the B button (or A for 1 joy-stick).

Dungeon Dash

You’re both on skis and need to get out. Both go right then both left though the whole level and avoid the obstacles.

Speed Hockey

Move up and down on the joy-stick to try to score goals and block goals.

Balloon Burst

Pump air to the Bowser Ballon to pop it. Pump air by pressing L and R (or SL and SR if you have one joy-con).

Cake Factory

In this game you have to time grabbing the cake or strawberry. Cake first then strawberry when putting them down.

Sky Pilots

One player flaps the wings and the other steers. Flap by move the joy-stick up and down and Steer by moving the joy-stick in the direction you want to go. This minigame is sort of similar to the “Fuzzy Flight School” minigame from Super Mario Party.

Etch ‘n’ Catch

Make a circle around the Toad.

Picking Panic

Time your swing to grab, pass and deliver the cherry.

Eatsa Pizza

In this minigame move around with the joy-stick and mash the A (or X) button to eat the pizza. If you set the AI Player to the hardest difficulty then they will eat the whole pizza.

Puddle Paddle

Mash the A (or X) button to paddle and move the joy-stick steer. Try to get coins.

Dungeon Duos

This Minigame requires a lot of teamwork. This mini game is kind of hard to explain so here is a video instead:

Revers-a-Bomb

Send bombs back and forth by pressing the buttons in front of your character. I think it works out best if one person does the top button and the other one does the bottom.

Burnstile

Jump over the bar. It is possible to move around.

Rocky Road

Punch and kick the boulder to keep moving forward. Press B (or A) to punch and press A to jump then press B to kick (or X then A if you are using one joy-con).

Cashapult

While you fall down, try to collect as many coins as you can.

Paint Misbehavin’

Try to paint as many goombas as you can. You can move around via the joy-stick.

Winner or Dinner

Collect coins and avoid the plants and other obstacles.

Duel minigames

These minigames They are One versus One and are meant for The Party Mode when you land on the same space (final stretch only) or when someone uses the Dueling Glove on you. But they can be played from the Mount Minigames. There are only 5 minigames in this category.

Ticktock Hop

Jump over the clock’s hand. This minigame is similar to the “Burnstile” minigame in this game.

Vine with Me

Time your jumps so that you grab onto the next vine.

Motor Rooter

Move left and right and get speed boosts. Avoid the lightning.

Mass Meteor

Avoid the meteors and try to get to the goal first to win.

Spin Doctor

Try to get to the goal first before the other player. Blue platforms spin all directions while Red spins only three.

Sports and Puzzles minigames

These are Sports (like Soccer, Hocky etc.) and Puzzles (which are minigames that can be tricky). There are only 6 minigames in this category.

Beach Volley Folly

This is Volley Ball. I’s a 2-VS-2 minigame where you hit the ball back and forth. When the star is under your character then that means you need to the hit the ball!

Ice Hockey

Like Hockey try to score goals.

Shell Soccer

Another minigame like Soccer (or football) only instead of scoring into goals you try to hit as many Goombas as possible.

Mario’s Puzzle Party

Match the colored blocks to the other colored blocks, Hold down to make them come faster. First person to score 100 points wins. We tried playing this minigame where we just held down and that seems to work if you want to win.

Block Star

This minigame is just like Mario’s Puzzle Party but it’s only up to Two Players.

Stick and Spin

Make matches of 5 or more of the same color of balls to win.

Item minigames

These minigames can only be played when you land on an item space in the Party Mode. Always try to avoid getting Bowser Jr. because then you don’t get an item. There are 5 minigames in this category.

Roll Out the Barrels

Keep your eye on the item you want to get and then press the A (or X) button to break open the barrel.

Hammer Slammer

Mash the A (or X) button to make the hammer hit harder.

Bobbing Bow-loons

Try to time shooting to get the item you want.

Swinging with Sharks

Time your swing to get the item you want.

Winner’s Wheel

Time pressing the button to get the item you want.
