Why Sabotage on The High Seas?

Clue Escape Room Board Game Sabotage on The High Seas is an escape room-style board game that blends classic Clue mechanics with cooperative puzzle-solving. Designed for 1-6 players, it immerses players in a thrilling mystery aboard a luxury yacht, where they must work together to uncover a saboteur before time runs out.

This game had us guessing about who the culprit was. First, we thought it was Green, then Scarlett then Orchid and back again to Scarlett and it just had us guessing. We enjoyed trying to solve the mystery together.

Unlike traditional Clue, this version emphasizes teamwork and deduction. Players explore different rooms, solve puzzles, and reveal hidden clues to progress through the mystery. The game unfolds through a series of numbered cards and interactive components, guiding players through a suspenseful storyline.

Pros and Cons

I think that the game was a lot of fun just like the first one. Some puzzles reminded me of Nancy Drew puzzles from the PC games. Anyway, below is a list of some Pros and Cons of the game:

Pros:

  • Engaging and Thematic – The game captures the intrigue of a Clue mystery while adding new layers of challenge.
  • Varied Puzzles – A mix of logic, pattern recognition, and deduction puzzles keep players engaged.
  • Great for Groups – Works well for families and friends who enjoy escape rooms or cooperative games.
  • Good Production Quality – The materials, artwork, and components add to the immersive experience.

Cons:

  • Limited Replayability – Once the mystery is solved, the surprises are gone.
  • Some Puzzles Can Be Challenging – Certain clues may feel vague or difficult without hints.
