We’ve played Very Very Valet many times. I wouldn’t have thought playing as a valet is fun, but this qualifies. Parking and delivering cars is all you do in this game. However, there are several tips and tricks to make this easier.

The game is basically the same over 20 levels and 4 bonus rounds. So anything you learn here applies throughout the game. It also helps with the party games.

Basic Strategy

When playing Very Very Valet you don’t have much choice how many or how quickly new customers arrive. However, you do have some control over how quickly people leave.

How this works is if you check in 5 customers in a row, you’ll probably have 3 or 4 of them want to leave at the same time. So space out how quickly you respond to new arrivals.

Get a system going of checking in one car, parking it, then delivering a car, then get to the next new arrival. In my experience checking cars in as fast as possible leads to a mass of people checking out.

Space out new arrivals by going back and forth between checking cars in and delivering cars. Even if nobody is at the check out bring any random car there. Walking around the map is slow. Drive a car around as much as possible works best.

The Airport level illustrates the problem with checking in cars too quickly. Several people show up to depart at the same time. Making it more likely a car is going to time out. By alternating between checking in and delivering a car, any car you won’t run into too many people departing at once.

On the bonus levels split up. Head in different directions. Use the drift button to knock down or collect as many items as possible.

Cheats

You can jump out of a car and let it coast to the delivery area. Aim the car to the delivery area, hit the boost, then bail out of the car. This also works for the car wash, oil change, or repair shop levels.

Always have 2 cars at the delivery area whether or not anyone is asking for their car or not. The first thing you should do when starting a level is deliver a random car or two. The exception to this rule is the levels with no parking areas.

You can leave cars in the road if you don’t mind using the push button later. It may cause a traffic jam after a while but we use the push button to plow through all the cars.

There’s no penalty for destroying NPC cars. If you push hard and fast enough you can make a car disappear without any penalty.

We utilize the jump button as much as possible to avoid getting stuck on poles, walls, barriers, and other cars.

How to Drive

Don’t hold down the boost or drift buttons very long. I’ve found tapping the boost button results in a near unlimited boost without stalling the engine. If you see your car start to flip over let go of the boost button.

The same applies to the drift button. Don’t hold it down, instead use short taps. Only hold it down if you aren’t moving. Then you can spin in place.

Once we got better at driving, we worked at getting all the red stars. In my experience, getting all the red stars requires better than average driving skills.

Being able to drift into groups of pins or trash makes a huge difference. Some bonus levels we had to do flawlessly when going for the red stars. One mistake or flub ate up too much time to finish.

Tapping instead of holding the dash button is best. Longer taps work best for the drifting. I don’t mean rapidly pressing the button, but rather half second taps.

Summary

Very Very Valet is a simple game so it doesn’t have many strats or exploits. We mainly alternate between delivering and taking new cars. Also, we make sure to drive instead of walking, as much as possible anyway.

We recently added Very Very Valet to our library of 4 player Nintendo Switch games. We regularly play 4 player co-op couch games every weekend so Very Very Valet fit right in to our collection.

The idea of Very Very Valet is you park cars as people show up and bring cars as people want to leave within the allotted time. Each level offers a new location and challenges. You can play solo or up to 4 players.

Add-on games are included as well. We enjoyed the racing game and survival games. Not bad as far as add-on games go.

Why Very Very Valet?

If you’re looking for an easy to learn fun game then Very Very Valet is an excellent choice. We found the controls aren’t complicated, game play comes natural, and it’s just a fun game. It isn’t an intense game in spite of your boss’s reaction to playing all 4 characters as copies of him.

If you like co-op games then this game is an ideal choice. We worked together to avoid irate customers and weird UFO’s from taking cars. When a car isn’t parked or brought to the pick-up area in time a UFO shows up to take it. Why they leave other cars or you alone is a mystery to me.

There isn’t any shooting or fighting. Although I found my player has super human strength and can push cars. With the kind of strength the players have fighting might be interesting. But there’s no violence, at least to people.

Cars on the other hand didn’t fare so well. We knocked off doors, the hood, and other parts went flying off. The engines also take a lot of abuse. You can launch, drive, or shove them off the roof in order get them to customers impatiently waiting for their cars.

Customers, who incidentally didn’t mind in the least the condition their car shows up in. We just had to get them there before time runs out.

If you’re looking for quick wins then this is a good choice. Each round is timed and averages 3 or 4 minutes. We didn’t need to commit large blocks of time to playing this game.

We tested Very Very Valet with 1 player, 2 players, 3 players, and 4 players. The difficulty was somewhat balanced for multiple players. However, solo went from average to very very difficult on the last world.

It’s meant to be played with multiple players but I enjoyed playing solo. If you’re only looking for a solo game then I’d think twice about Very Very Valet.

Comparable Games

Very Very Valet falls into the same category as Overcooked, Moving Out 2, Out of Space, Tools Up, and Lumberhill. They’re all multi-player co-op couch games. If you enjoyed those games then Very Very Valet is worth checking out.

From what I’ve seen, the graphics are similar to Moving Out. The cars, players, drop-off, and pick-up areas are clear and easily distinguishable. Unlike Lumberhill, you won’t have any issues finding anything due to the graphics.

Similar to Moving Out the game mechanics and controls are simple. I love Overcooked but some of the orders get complicated and ingredients are hard to tell apart. Very Very Valet keeps it simple: dropping off and picking up cars.

All the games listed are fighting the clock, with the exception of Out of Space. Very Very Valet has two timers similar to Overcooked. Individual cars have timers (like orders in OC) and each round is timed (like in OC).

As we played, we noticed synchronizing player actions in Very Very Valet is not as crucial as it is in Overcooked. As long as a player doesn’t stand in a corner swearing a steady stream of obscenities and passing gas while the un-bread are attacking, you’ll be fine. I know it looks funny to stand in a corner dashing but we have orders to fill!

Very Very Valet is mostly like Moving Out in my experience. As long as everyone remains active, we were able to win each round. Being efficient and not making mistakes led to us getting 3 stars

The sounds and music in Very Very Valet reminds me of Tools Up for some reason. Catchy but non-intrusive.

Pros and Cons

The controls in Very Very Valet are jump, push, and enter/leave a car. We had no issues learning the controls. The goals are clear and achievable with practice. The power ups are confusing. It’s hard to tell if you’re going to get a timer reset, a speed boost, or a growing power-up.

Yes, you can grow big then stomp, kick, or push the cars to the pick-up area! We were unable to drive while in giant form but plowing through the cars like a pile of leaves was worth the trade off.

Controlling cars takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it in my experience. We tried the default and manual car settings but most of us preferred the default. One of our co-op players preferred the manual settings.

Either way the controls aren’t complicated but actually driving the car takes a bit of practice. The car is a bit unpredictable when you hold the dash or drift buttons. Not enough to be annoying but just enough to learn to use dash and drift sparingly.

The car drives fine under normal driving. If you hold the dash or drift too long the car flips or spins out. It flips back on its own after a bit. Or you can get out and push it back over.

The graphics are good but not great in my opinion. More than adequate for this game. Sounds are mid. The expressions on the characters are well done. Making for some funny pictures after the round is over.

Review Summary

Our Very Very Valet review gives it 8 out of 10 stars. This game was such a blast it earned a spot among our favorites. We mostly play it with 4 players and thoroughly enjoy it. I don’t have any of the frustrations I’ve found in some other co-op games.

Again, driving the car takes a bit of practice, especially if you want to dash or drift. Which adds to the fun. Still, normal driving has no issues.

Overall, this game offers a lot of co-op fun. I enjoyed it playing solo too. The add-on games offer a bit of player vs player action. But not enough to lose any friends.

If you’re looking for an easy, simple game to have fun with friends then I think Very Very Valet is an ideal choice.

Very Very Valet is one of our favorite multiplayer games. We play co-op couch games every weekend, and we find ourselves playing this one over and over.

You’d think playing as a valet is boring but this game makes mundane tasks fun. While there’s a subtle narrative culminating in a final level. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it. As long as you get enough cars past some UFO’s you can win.

Mostly Very Very Valet is parking and delivering cars in a timely manner. There isn’t any combat or violence. Your primary struggle is against the clock. Making sure orders don’t time out and all the cars are delivered before time runs out.

The mini games are a racing and survival game. You have to push everyone off a platform to win the survival game. The other party game is just a run of the mill racing game. Both are good practice for learning how to drive the car.

Basic Gameplay How To

There are 20 levels and 4 bonus levels. Each level is progressively harder than the last in my experience. New obstacles and paths are added occasionally. Plus there are bonus levels.

Once the level starts, we dropped in via parachutes. We saw cars in the parking lot and new ones showing up. As we entered a new car to park, we noticed the color of the message.

Red means they’ll be back soon to pick up their car. So we moved any red cars directly to the pick up area, or close to it. Yellow messages represent medium times. And green messages represents the longest times.

I can’t tell much difference between green and yellow times. We parked those cars wherever the parking lot was. Honestly, red messages are the only color I pay attention to.

Rooftop Parking

In Rooftop Parking it’s actually better if you don’t use the rooftop for parking. We just piled the cars on the street. Then delivered them as needed.

Across the Street

For Across the Street it’s also better if you don’t use the parking across the street. We piled ’em up on the street and used the push button to clear any traffic jams. Although, if you have 4 players you’ll have to park some cars there.

Bowled Over

Even though this is the first bonus level, it’s the hardest level to get 3 stars in the game in my opinion. Seriously, it’s hard to get to the 7th wave, let alone collect all the stars.

We used drift and boost to slide into as many pins as possible. We found splitting up worked best when we had multiple players. Head to the top level and work you way down. If we ever fell down a level and needed to drive back up, then we never made it to the 7th wave.

Alley Avenue

In Alley Avenue the portal is useful in my experience. We always delivered a car or two to the pick-up area. Then we walked back through the portal to pick up new cars.

Cliffside Overlook

In Cliffside Overlook we needed to use the portal. We found aiming a car at the portal, hitting the boost, then bailing out worked best. The car coasted through the portal. We parked as many red cars on the loop as we could.

The Observatory

We parked red message cars on the grassy cliff and the upper road. The rest we put on the lower parking lot. If the top level ever got too congested, we used the boost to plow through to the delivery area.

Hotel No Vacancy

In Hotel No Vacancy we parked new cars using the portal. However, we delivered cars by jumping off the parking deck. We put as many red message cars in the pick-up zone as could fit. We piled them up past the no parking zone, since we can always push through any traffic jam.

Quartz Quarry

For this level, we took our time parking new cars. We took them to the bottom of the quarry, and lined them up efficiently. That way we could jump in, boost up the ramp, and jump out of the car. If we timed it right the car landed in the pick-up zone.

Since there are two no parking zones I wouldn’t pile any red message cars in the pick-up zone. Instead we put them on the middle level of the quarry. There they were ready to drive up the rear ramp.

Up and Down

In this level we took advantage of the springs to get back to the top level. We drove red message cars to the pick-up zone. All the rest we drove off the top platform. We parked cars arriving on the bottom level in the lot. We moved as many red message cars through the portal as was room.

Cleanup Crew

In this bonus level you have to pick up trash bags. I found using the van instead of the car worked better. The car can only hold 3 bags, while the van holds 5. The van is slow so we used the boost liberally. In my experience tapping it instead of holding it down works best.

Overpass Galleria

In this level there’s a partially hidden ramp to the upper parking deck on the right side. We didn’t bother using it. Instead we parked as many cars as we could on the center barrier in the road.

This level is likely to have traffic jams so we were sure to push as many cars around as we could. If too many cars pile up or we pushed to hard, some of the NPC cars disappeared. Bonus.

Now Departing

This is a hard level. At some point several people request their cars at the same time. We had to anticipate it and all be in the parking lot before it happened.

We parked cars on the curb lining either side of the runway to save time. The ramp to the parking deck is wide enough to fit several cars. We boosted our way through when there was too many.

Rinse and Return

This level adds a car wash to the mix. Cars that look dirty need washed. They’ll also say so in the message. When the level starts we moved the cars on the outskirts to the round parking area.

Since the pick-up area is downhill, we would aim a car at it, hit the boost, then bail out. Cars coasted to the pick-up area. You can use the spring to get back to the upper area if need be.

Downtown

This is another hard level. Solo isn’t near as hard as multiplayer. A circular barrier blocks the path. It moves back and forth. Allowing you to deliver or pick-up new cars, but not both.

We really had to work together on this level. Having one player dedicated to operating the switch helped. But they also had to jump in a car to prevent it from timing out from time to time.

Home Sweep Home

In this bonus level you need to sweep all the dirt. Occasionally, there’s like 1 pixel’s worth of dirt left. We couldn’t proceed to the next wave until it was all swept up.

This level is almost impossible in expert mode as a solo player in my experience. Having multi-players made it easier.

Macho Motors

In Macho Motors you need to divert cars that need a wash, an oil change, or repaired. Pay attention to the color of the message and flag for each car. Direct each car to which bay it needs to go.

We found it was chaotic but fun. It kept everyone on their toes.

Double Parking

In Double Parking cars show up on either side but are delivered in the center. We were sure to keep the urgent red message cars close, while putting the low priority green message cars farther away.

We drove instead of walked from one side to another as much as possible. All while taking full advantage of the boost button.

Seismic Stories

In this level the road splits in half, with one side lowering. When that happens you have to get to a higher level of the parking deck and jump off.

We kept the cars with red messages to the left of the crack in the road. Either by backing up the alley or going past the pick-up zone. We noticed a lot traffic on this level. We used the push button to keep it moving.

Dueling Venues

From here on out your efficiency skills are put to the test. There aren’t airplanes, trains, or earthquakes to deal with. The map is fairly concise. But there are a lot of cars coming and going.

We paid close attention to the color of the message when picking up cars. Keep red ones close while putting the others farther away. We jumped over the guard rails and other cars coming and going. We took advantage of parking cars on sidewalks too.

The Lot

This level is huge but there are no obstructions. There are tons of cars that show up and need delivered. These levels need nerfed for solo players in my opinion.

It’s easy to miss cars needing delivered along the edges because the lot is so big. Pay attention to the ding sounds and look around for deliveries. Make use of power ups and driving with the boost.

Sharing Spaces

Sharing Spaces has cars arriving from 3 corners while needing delivered to any of 3 pick-up areas. Like the previous two levels, things get chaotic due to the volume of cars.

We drove from one end of the map to another as much as possible. We avoided zig zagging back and forth too. We picked-up and delivered the cars nearest to us whenever we could.

Three in One

This bonus level is hard playing solo. Multiplayer it’s easier. You have to sweep up dirt, knock over pins, and collect trash bags.

They give you more time because the last star is hard to get. Either position the trucks so you can land another vehicle on them and drive to the star. Or do a head on collision below the star. One vehicle will drive over the other and get the star.

Chaos Caboose

This level is fun because you get to jump the train, or get hit by it. When the level starts, we moved the truck with the ramp to the left lot. We put it in the bottom right corner, as far as it will go. Then the wall kept us lined up with the ramp.

Auto Recall

This is the final level. Avoid the red tractor beams below the black bowler hat looking UFO things. The cars filled with dynamite don’t need delivered. They are there for one purpose: to blow up the UFO’s.

Blow up the UFO’s in the shared middle path first. Then the ones along the bottom wall. We found the rest are easy to avoid.

Very Very Valet Achievements

These are all the achievements. Most are self explanatory or achieved by getting more stars. Party starter is the only hard one in my experience. You need to press the joystick button as you land.

We found reaching 4 seconds of air time is easy on The Observatory level. Launch a car from the lower to higher platform. Then stay in the car and try to land back on the lower platform.

Strategy and battle games are still among my favorites. I like writing about games almost as much as I do playing them.
