Very Very Valet: Tips and Tricks

We’ve played Very Very Valet many times. I wouldn’t have thought playing as a valet is fun, but this qualifies. Parking and delivering cars is all you do in this game. However, there are several tips and tricks to make this easier.

The game is basically the same over 20 levels and 4 bonus rounds. So anything you learn here applies throughout the game. It also helps with the party games.

When playing Very Very Valet you don’t have much choice how many or how quickly new customers arrive. However, you do have some control over how quickly people leave.

How this works is if you check in 5 customers in a row, you’ll probably have 3 or 4 of them want to leave at the same time. So space out how quickly you respond to new arrivals.

Get a system going of checking in one car, parking it, then delivering a car, then get to the next new arrival. In my experience checking cars in as fast as possible leads to a mass of people checking out.

Space out new arrivals by going back and forth between checking cars in and delivering cars. Even if nobody is at the check out bring any random car there. Walking around the map is slow. Drive a car around as much as possible works best.

The Airport level illustrates the problem with checking in cars too quickly. Several people show up to depart at the same time. Making it more likely a car is going to time out. By alternating between checking in and delivering a car, any car you won’t run into too many people departing at once.

On the bonus levels split up. Head in different directions. Use the drift button to knock down or collect as many items as possible.

You can jump out of a car and let it coast to the delivery area. Aim the car to the delivery area, hit the boost, then bail out of the car. This also works for the car wash, oil change, or repair shop levels.

Always have 2 cars at the delivery area whether or not anyone is asking for their car or not. The first thing you should do when starting a level is deliver a random car or two. The exception to this rule is the levels with no parking areas.

You can leave cars in the road if you don’t mind using the push button later. It may cause a traffic jam after a while but we use the push button to plow through all the cars.

There’s no penalty for destroying NPC cars. If you push hard and fast enough you can make a car disappear without any penalty.

We utilize the jump button as much as possible to avoid getting stuck on poles, walls, barriers, and other cars.

Don’t hold down the boost or drift buttons very long. I’ve found tapping the boost button results in a near unlimited boost without stalling the engine. If you see your car start to flip over let go of the boost button.

The same applies to the drift button. Don’t hold it down, instead use short taps. Only hold it down if you aren’t moving. Then you can spin in place.

Once we got better at driving, we worked at getting all the red stars. In my experience, getting all the red stars requires better than average driving skills.

Being able to drift into groups of pins or trash makes a huge difference. Some bonus levels we had to do flawlessly when going for the red stars. One mistake or flub ate up too much time to finish.

Tapping instead of holding the dash button is best. Longer taps work best for the drifting. I don’t mean rapidly pressing the button, but rather half second taps.

Very Very Valet is a simple game so it doesn’t have many strats or exploits. We mainly alternate between delivering and taking new cars. Also, we make sure to drive instead of walking, as much as possible anyway.
